This is a three room apartment, 108 m2, a few blocks from the central square in Lund. You can easily stroll in to the city in a few minutes, and also reach the university quickly. Walking to the central station takes less than 10 minutes. The house is from the early 1900, high ceilings, fresh and nice. The kitchen is large, with a great old table, two windows to the inner yard. The living room has iron-glass tables and celling lamps, and yellow sofa and chairs. There is a projector where you can watch your films, DVD, tv, and the connection the to stereo makes it a great home video system. Free internet is available. There is a partly view of Stadsparken, the largest park in Lund. The master-bed room has a king size beed, and to black leather sofas, with a glass-table, and some paintings from my home town in Lappland. I have an apartment elsewhere, so on many occations you can get the apartment for yourself. You are also welcome to rent my car.
I am full professor in Psychology at Lund university. I do research in human memory and make computational models of the cognitive functions.
Leave the apartment in the state that you found it. You make use food in the kitchen provided that you buy the same amount as you take. Otherwise feel free the use the apartment as you like. You are very welcome!
I leaved in Sverker`s apartment 4 days, and meet him several times during this period. He is nice and easy, the room for guests small and cozy, and situated at the beginning of the flat, so it is very convenient to come in and out, not disturbing the owner. Big kitchen and nice view from the window. The location of the apartments is also very good, near the park and close to center. I was absolutely pleased to live there!
All fine, great flat close to city center, nice, friendly and uncomplicated host.
nice big flat in center of Lund. As others have reported it is more like a shared student flat than a B&B. No problem if you like it. I liked it.
Sverker is friendly helpful and a totally uncomplicated host.
Firstly, it should be understood that the AirBnB apartments are not “Bed and Breakfast” in the American sense where a breakfast is prepared along with beds for guests. Sometimes AirBnB’s are just people’s apartments where they vacate for a few days so you can use it. When we arrived at Sverker’s apartment at the time previously agreed upon a day earlier, he was completely unprepared to receive us and seemed almost perturbed by our arrival. He was still using the bed but he offered that he would leave that night so we could use his main bed (instead of the couch since there were no two other beds in the house). My wife helped him change the sheets, after which he gathered some of his stuffed and took off giving us one key. When we asked for another key since my wife and I were doing things separately, he said we could look for a place in the city to get another key made. Or we could just leave the door open since the entry to the whole apartment house required an entry code (gee, what could go wrong with that idea?). The rest of the apartment was quite unclean; just a bachelor’s apartment left for us to use—including the dirty dishes around the apartment and in the dishwasher. That is particularly annoying since he is charging an extra $30 above and beyond the $360 three nights rental as a so-called “cleaning fee.” Then we awoke the next morning to try to hunt for our breakfast food in the kitchen. The only bread was 6 slices of rye bread that was 11 days beyond its sell-by date. We never found any cereals but there were many jams for the old bread. We had to buy our own breakfast food (aside from the ample jams and some juice) for the next two breakfasts. The deal was hardly what we expected for $120+10 = $130 a night. On the positive side, we had free internet.
I had a pleasant stay at Lund.
I met Sverker only twice during my stay, as I had a quite busy schedule. Still, I enjoyed our short chats and Sverker gave me a quite uncomplicated and accessible impression.
The flat is located in direct proximity to the city center and features a spacious kitchen and living room. Overall, the flat is in a good state, though not overly well groomed.
The room used for hosting guests is a former children's room, still featuring most of the original decoration for a rather young girl. The spare bed is not overly wide - one person fits comfortably, for two people things start getting interesting.
All in all (and especially compared to local hotels), Sverker's flat offers best value for money.
Alone in a big old style flat in the centrum, just 200 m away from my short term working place. Just no funktioning internet at that time, that can be problem for a traveller ordering tickets ...
Our stay at Sverker's apartment was most enjoyable. It's bright, very spacious and comfortable. It's location is (email hidden) easy walk to the center of town, shopping and restaurants. Would definitively stay there again!
Thank you Sverker.
