Cozy, hip, and central appartment!

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Rue de Bordeaux, Montreal, QC H2K 3Z1, Canada

The Space

A cozy, warm and colorful appartement located in the heart of Montreal. Hardwood floors, high ceilings, two balconies overlooking a quaint neighborhood. Comes fully equiped with in house laundry, a barbeque at guest's disposal, full kitchen (including your own cupboard space), full bath, wifi, and cable/dvd. Both rooms are bright and spacious with comfy queen sized mattresses, closet, desk and night stands. You would be 10 minutes (by foot) from Montreal's buzzing downtown, a short drive or transit (there is a bus stop a block away, and a metro fifteen minutes away) from the biodome, and 2 minutes from Parc Lafontaine- where in the summer it is filled by folks tanning, juggling, playing music, and enjoying lunch and wine in the parc. Parc Lafontaine is also known to host outdoor movies and live music. Enjoy a beautiful walk, any time of year around the lake and fountain.

Near by- literally 30 seconds away- you have a grocery store if and when you feel so inspired to eat in. Otherwise the street of Mont Royal and Rachel are only 10 minutes (again, by foot) from home, offering a wide variety restaurants, delis, cafes, pubs, and fashion hubs. Then you have St Laurent and St Denis for more adventuring, and an excellent choice for night life. From hip hop clubs, to jazz and blues, rock and roll, inde and experimental- all of the above and more. After painting the town red, enjoy a poutine at la banquise, at any and all hours of the day or night- just ten minutes from home.

Now, its the next morning or afternoon and you feel like youve been well acquainted with the night life. Okay, so time for a scenic walk up to the mountain! A nice half an hour walk to arrive at the base. Give yourself another 30-40 minutes to get to the top and take in all regions of Montreal. Otherwise have a walk-about downtown and check out museums and art galleries!

Montreal has a buffet of activities, and whatever you're here for you will certainly get your fill. Come enjoy your stay in the heart of it!

  • It's definitely a very different experience choosing to stay at someone else's place compared to a hotel. I could see some people not liking it however in our situation it definitely proved to be the better way to go. It made it feel like we were actually living in downtown montreal rather than just being tourists. Justine and Mary gave us complete freedom to do our own thing while we were there, and while we didn't know how the dynamic would work of living in someone else's home, you'll feel completely at home and comfortable after the first day. The loft is suitable for all your needs while you are staying there. It's a little run down and could use some touch ups to freshen up the place though, but as long as your not a diva, you'll still come to love it. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning and we stayed during one of the hottest weeks in summer. She did provide us with a small fan but it did very little. The place wasn't perfect, but you should expect that as it isn't a hotel. If you want a true Montreal living experience, i'd definitely recommend staying here, especially if your a young adult. Justine was gone most of the time but Mary was a gracious host, always there if we had a question about getting around. Like I said, not perfect, but perfects overrated anyways. I'd stay there again for sure.

  • Justine and her roommate Marianne were the most gracious hosts we could hope to have. They were both immensely helpful and gave us their numbers to call anytime with any questions, and their recommendations were spot on! Justine's dog Lilly is one of the sweetest creatures on four legs, and their home was clean, comfortable, and had a lot of character. Miss them and Montreal already!

  • My stay here was great The place had character and being a 30-second walk from the nearest grocery was also very convenient! Although I didn’t get to spend much time at the residence in-between sleeping and exploring Montreal, Justine and her roommate were very welcoming and let me know about other music events that would have interested me.

  • Justine was friendly, helpful and laid back. Her roommate was also helpful with internet connection late at night when we returned. We thought the location was great and we enjoyed our stay very much. Her dog, Lili was adorable too. We felt welcomed at Justine's.

  • My boyfriend and I had a great time staying with Justine. Her home has character and was very pleasant. The bedroom was large and quiet, on a beautiful little tree-lined street only a few blocks from the busy area of the plateau. She took the time to give us advice on where to get the best poutine and find a cool dive bar. Lily the dog was very sweet, always offering a welcome back kiss! Definitely recommended. Thanks Justine!!
