Valletta
Golden stone buildings, churches, narrow streets, colourful balconies and sparkling seas. Valletta is Malta's capital, built by the Knights of St John on a peninsula that's only 1km by 600m. Malta’s capital might be tiny but it’s full of charm and history, so much so when UNESCO named Valletta a World Heritage Site, it described it as 'one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world’. Walking the streets is like stepping back in time, but Valletta’s not just living in the past. It’s the 2018 European Capital of Culture which has meant renovation and redevelopment, so it’s shining even brighter than ever.

I work in the hospitality industry, my passions include anything to do with food and drink as well as interior design. I love the beauty of natural materials and recycling old or antique items. Other than that travelling in a carefree manner, all put a big smile on my face. As a host, I try and make each guest's experience as special as possible by sharing local eat, drink and suggest top tips. As a traveller, I am a very respectful guest and treat each home as though it were my own.
