About This Listing
Private bedroom in the heart of the Mission. The apartment is tucked away a few hundred feet from Valencia Street where you can find great food, music, and drinks. Enjoy our sunny back deck, amazing location, and great advice on enjoying SF.
We have an extra bedroom in our 3 bedroom apartment. The apartment is a couple blocks from Dolores Park and a ten minute walk from the 24th or 16th St. BART stations. We have a large back porch, solid internet, and no pets. We're all 30ish and enjoy hosting new guests.
The apartment is tucked away from Valencia St. Valencia has tons of restaurants, bars, and music halls. You can find Ethiopian, Mediterranean, Japanese, 3 different types of Indian, authentic Chinese, Spanish Tapas, French, Brazilian, Senegalese, Italian, and Peruvian food all within a 5 minute walk of the apartment. It can get a little noisy on the weekends, or when the Giants win the World Series, or if Obama is / isn't elected president...
You will have your own bathroom with a bathtub and shower. We usually go to bed pretty late, but the apartment is generally quiet by 10 or 11. There is a TV in the common room with local channels and Netflix. You're free to share the fridge and any kitchen utensils. We generally keep fancy Four Barrel or Ritual coffee in the kitchen for your brewing pleasure.
The bedroom has a desk, full sized bed, and a cooshy chair.
The kitchen and fridge are free game. We're happy to let you use our laundry as well.
Interaction with Guests
We're generally around and happy to give advice or just chat about life.
So many amazing food and entertainment options within a few blocks of the apartment. There's nothing like a little picnic in Dolores park on a sunny weekend.
We're close to BART, and MUNI stops, but you can entertain yourself for hours simply walking around the neighborhood. There are also places to rent bikes nearby.
We try to keep a shoe-free household.
Chris' place was perfect for our two night stay in San Fransisco. The apartment is located in a cool part of town within walking distance to loads of bars and restaurants. We had a car so I can't comment on what public transport is like in the area but if you are driving there's a garage about two blocks away which wasn't too expensive and very handy. We were out a lot during our stay but met Chris and found him to be lovely and welcoming. The bed was super comfy and having a private bathroom was great. As the apartment is in a busy bustling neighbourhood if you are a very light sleeper this might not be the place for you but we slept like logs! Would very much recommend this place to others.
Apartment, location, and hospitality were all great. I was especially grateful to Chris and Snez for going out of their way to accommodate my very last minute reservation. As others have mentioned, outside noise can be variable but earplugs tended to do the trick. What doesn't get enough press here is the wonderful roof deck! After a day out in the world this was a lovely quiet retreat.
The room is nice and Chris is really warm-hearted and nice.
Chris was flexible and accommodating; he made it easy to find a time to exchange the key and was also great about allowing me to store my luggage at their place, prior to my flight (thanks again!). The vibe in the apartment is very much "do you own thing and be respectful/courteous." Chris and Snezh were in and out all weekend. At times friends were over, at times not.
Perhaps because I'm fairly new to Airbnb, I had envisioned that the private bathroom would be attached to the bedroom - it is not.
Stayed with Chris and Snez for a week without any problems. Both house and room are fine, and well located in Mission if, like me, you wanted to get to know the area a little better. Can be a bit noisy outside sometimes, although they provided earplugs. Overall a great experience, and would be happy to stay again - just gutted I wasn't around more during the day to enjoy that fab decking out the back!
We had a great time staying at Chris' place. The house is absolutely stunning and full of personalities (house envy!). When we arrived, the bedroom & bath were perfectly set up for us, with earplugs on the bedside and great selection of shampoos in the bath. The hosts were warm and extremely responsive with any requests we had. The neighborhood is one of our fav, with a fantastic selection of coffee shops, boutique stores, great restaurants and bars. Tartine bakery, Ritual Coffee Shop and Dandelion Chocolate were all just a few minutes away. Couldn't ask for a better experience in SF, will def come back to this place!
