The space
This private apartment with a separate private entrance is located in a traditionally styled New Orleans home with 14' ceilings. . A queen bed, local artwork by the homeowner, equipped galley kitchen, a full bathroom, water filter, dining area, and washer/dryer are provided. Centrally located, this charming studio provides the perfect place to put your feet up for a single traveler, couple, or family with an infant (pack and play available upon request). Owners live on the other side of the house and are happy to talk to you about local recommendations and travel tips. As I work remotely on the other side of the house, we have wonderful wifi and extra outlets for those of you who may want to "try on" the city of New Orleans as you work remotely. We love our city!

Guest access
You will have the entire studio to yourself with private access as well as a little front porch for a morning cup of coffee, bathroom, kitchen, and washer/dryer that are solely yours.

Other things to note
House Requests: While New Orleanians know how to party, we ask that you do not bring pets, drugs, smoking, or parties into the home. New Orleans homes are close together, so we also ask that after 10PM stereo/television/voices are turned down, and general conversation is calm and neighborly. We live on the other side of the house so you may hear our little boy on occasion. Please feel free to send us a note if you are back taking a nap etc. so we can make sure you have a peaceful stay.

Neighborhood highlights

This is an incredible neighborhood! Walking to the New Orleans Museum of Art, Botanical Garden, Sculpture Garden, Storyland, Cafe Du Monde in City Park (Beignets), City Park (bike and boat rentals, running paths, beautiful scenery), Bayou St. John (picnics on the bridge pictured in the studio apartment are a norm!), streetcar line, bus line, racetrack, Jazz Fest, and Stallings Pool (seasonally) make this a great location as well as the restaurants and conveniences within a 5-10 block radius. The Jazz Fest entrance is only two blocks away and in season, it is possible to go to the horse races.
We love eating up the street at Santa Fe for a great margarita happy hour, Cafe Degas (French), Nonna Mia (Italian/Pizza), Lola's(Spanish and Paella), or 1000 Figs (farm fresh falafel/Israeli). There are two great coffee shops, CCs and Fairgrinds, Swirl (wine shop with free Friday tastings), Lux (hair and nail salon) and Cansecos (grocery store) within 5 blocks as well. Newly opened, we enjoy breakfast at Pagoda Cafe for coffee and breakfast burritos across N. Broad street and Toast on Gentilly.
Finally, if you are here for Jazz Fest there is no better location. We are one block from the entrance, and can hear everything without even going in!
