Amazing apartment in the Arts + Warehouse District/CBD.
This is a very cute and special space. This apartment occupies the 2nd and 3rd floor of an old carriage house in the middle of the Warehouse District.
In a neighborhood like this, where there are several more "corporate" feeling apt/condo complexes, this apartment is actually located in an old, renovated house. A very rare find for this area.
All exposed brick walls, with 2 balconies. One balcony lines the living room/kitchen area while the upstairs one lines the bathroom and bedroom.
This space is perfect for a couple or for friends. There is a double bed upstairs that can sleep 2. Also, a large sectional couch downstairs. An additional twin mattress and/or air mattress are available upon request for an extra fee to accommodate more people.
***PLEASE NOTE PRICE CHANGE DURING MARDI GRAS + JAZZ FEST***
The rate increases to $320/night during the following dates:
Feb 16-March 4
The apartment is positioned directly above a business so please be aware of this during business hours. They are usually there during regular 9am-5pm business hours, sometimes a little later.
There is a courtyard downstairs that is shared with the business and the 2 other residents who occupy the building.
I am in town, should I need to stop by for any reason. Also available via cell phone and email.
If you have any questions about anything, the apartment, the city, where to eat on a Sunday night, I'd be happy to help out. I love my city and I want you to love it too!
I love my neighborhood! In the very conveniently located neighborhood of the Warehouse District/CBD, there are so many things within walking distance. The World War II Museum, the Ogden Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, several art galleries, Lafayette Square Park, 10-15 minute walk to the French Quarter, the Aquarium, the Superdome, not to mention the restaurants and bars.
Walk to some of the best restaurants in town! Cochon, Butcher, Herbsaint, Emeril's, August, Peche, Tommy's, Root, La Boca, Riomar, Ruth's Chris, Domenica, just to name a few! Or try Carmo, a healthy option, very vegetarian/vegan friendly.
There are also several great bars to walk to such as the Rusty Nail (check out their awesome patio), Circle Bar, Bridge Lounge, Howlin' Wolf, Lucy's, Vic's...
Go see a movie! The Theatres at Canal Place is a 10-15 minute walk away. There are also The Shops at Canal Place where you can find Saks Fifth Avenue, Anthropologie, J. Crew, Brooks Brothers, and other upscale shopping.
And if you're the gambling type, Harrah's Casino is not far away.
If you need to get your yoga fix in, like me, there are two amazing studios within blocks of the apartment! Check out Bikram Yoga New Orleans on Julia Street and Reyn Studios on Magazine Street.
St. Charles is just one block away where the street car picks up. The street car can take you to almost any stretch of the city, in the most romantic and charming way.
There is also a bus stop across the street.
With a lot of foot traffic and several attractions in the area, cabs are easily and readily available.
Notes on Parking: There are a few free parking spots in front of the building. These can be tough to score, but are usually up for grabs early in the morning or in the evening. There is metered street parking Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm (outside of those days/hours, street parking is free). Also 2 pay lots that are across the street on each corner. A couple blocks away, the World War II Museum parking lot is free after 3pm.
That said, there is little need for a car in this spot.
A cab ride to/from MSY- New Orleans International Airport is the standard city-wide flat fee of $33+Tip.
This is a very unique and personal space with a lot of one-of-a-kind charm. Not very suitable for children or for dear elderly folk, as there are some stairs involved.
There are several original art pieces in the apartment. These pieces range from paintings, sketches, customized posters, prints, books, films. Please respect this and be mindful of this. These pieces cannot be replaced. If any loss or damage is committed in the way of the art, your deposit will not be refunded.

Great stay and fantastically located. Quiet street away from any commotion, but literally within walking distance to any point of interest in the city. The apartment itself is cozy and the host is quick to respond to any questions.
My roommate and I went to NOLA for the first time a few weeks ago and Lauren's apartment was the perfect place in the perfect location. She greeted us upon our arrival and made sure we knew where everything was. She was also reachable for any questions we had throughout the week. We could walk most places from the CBD - French Quarter was 12 minutes away and the Garden District was a lovely 30 minute stroll. There were lots of delicious restaurants and cool bars within walking distance. It was a great experience.
