  • The Hideaway fit our needs sufficiently. It's a little small, but provides plenty of room for 2 people. The apartment is clean, well-kept, and in a nice neighborhood off of S. Congress. The hosts answered any questions I had in a prompt and professional manner and provided easy check-in/check-out instructions. If you want to stay in South Austin, consider Joe and Bella's SoCo Hideaway.

  • I went with my best friend to Austin for a moms' get away. We found the 'Hideaway' and we were so pleased. It is my first time on Airbnb, and I feel like I hit the jackpot. The room was clean, cozy and very reasonably priced. The location is very quite, but so close to everything happening on Congress st. We met the owner Bella who was very kind and accommodating. This is a place I would recommend to all coming through Austin!

  • The SoCo Hideaway was a pleasant place to stay. In a quiet and safe neighbourhood and still minutes away from downtown and the nice restaurants on South Congress. The house was very nice furnished and clean and it was a pleasure to stay there for a week. We surely recommend this place for a stay in Austin and think we will be back.

  • This apartment is exactly as advertised, and is a comfortable and convenient spot to stay in Austin. Off-street parking is a plus!

We found that the scheduling was quick and easy, with prompt responses from the host. We liked the fact that this place is located off the main street, and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much.

  • My time at the Hideaway was my first stay with an AirBnB host and it was an incredible stay. I had no idea what to expect and The Hideaway was all I expected and far more. I go to Austin frequently and this was considerably better than most hotels I have stayed in while visiting.

The place itself was extremely clean, well appointed, and in a fantastic location in Austin. I felt safe and public transit downtown and elsewhere was easily available (cabs came in less than 15 mins, #1 and #801 buses were very easy to catch). Joe and Bella had very detailed and easy to follow notes and suggestions. They responded quickly to all of my questions and were very nice.

In addition to the their preparation and beautiful home, Bella helped me when I got separated from my group and went out of her way to ensure I was OK on my third night in town. I was and will remain incredibly grateful for their help and would absolutely stay at the Hideout again. If you are considering a trip, I highly recommend The Hideout. Thank you so much Joe and Bella!!!

  • Host was gracious and helpful. Hideaway was cozy and tidy. Easy access to South Congress and Downtown via Austin's bus system.

  • The Hideaway was VERY CLEAN and decorated nicely. It's very private and easy to get in and out. Parking is right in front of the unit so you don't have to carry your luggage too far. There were plenty of towels and they were soft. **One thing you must know, if you have an allergy to fabric softeners, please contact the owners prior to your stay to ask them not to use the fragranced sheets**. Your better off if you only bring small pieces of luggage since it's a small place. Not too small for comfort though. It is so conveniently located to the downtown area of Austin. Cleaning Goddess, Juanita, is delightful and will enchant you with interesting stories about the area. Kitchen area is exactly as it is shown in the pictures and stocked with everything you might need for a quick small meal. The only thing that didn't work for ME was the pillow situation since I have a bad back and needed an extra pillow for under my knees. If you have any special needs, contact the owners and I'm sure they will be happy to accommodate your special needs. They are very kind and wish for your experience to be a positive one. They take extra care to be sure the tenants are respectful, clean and desirable candidates for their treasured home. If you're not desirable and leave the place as nice as you find it, please find some other place to trash since this is a very nice home!!!

  • Karen and I enjoyed our stay at Joe and Bella's Hideaway. We stayed a week while visiting Austin with the intention of scoping it out for possible re-location. The "Hideaway" is conveniently located to several restaurants within walking distance and just 1 block from public transportation. We took the bus almost everyday down Congress Ave to the famous "SoCo strip" and downtown. It was a real convenience to have such a nice place to stay that was so well located.

We will definitely stay here again when we return to Austin. Joe and Bella were very responsive to all our questions and needs. Really great hosts!!! You will not be disappointed with any of Joe and Bell's properties.

    Thanks.

  • A perfect place for us to stay in Austin. Just blocks away from the scene  of South Congress and easy access to anywhere else in Austin. The apartment is super cozy and refreshingly clean -- perfect place to wind down and wake up in. A cool bar is less than a block away for a night cap. Our hosts spared no detail, and made our first trip to Austin a truly great experience.

  • Our weekend was wonderful! The SoCo Hideaway was just as we remembered it: clean, neat, and beautifully decorated! The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. The hideaway is within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. My husband, Jerry, was so surprised and excited when I told him about our much needed getaway to Austin. Thank you, Joe and Bella, for helping me make this a wonderful birthday surprise for him! We can't wait to visit again!
