Nearby are The Stag & Rainbow and the Jolly Miller, where visitors can eat out in very pleasant surroundings at a reasonable price.
We allow pets and families. We prefer mixed groups, but are open to offers for single sex on application.
We do feel lucky for this short stay in your lovely house. You're so friendly and welcome to Hunan, Hubei, Fujian and Liaoning in China someday.
Went for a Liverpool game. Taxi to the stadium was only £3 and we walked back. Upon arrival I was given a key to come and go as I please, no hassle or no bother whatsoever. Pats husband is a really nice man who made us feel completely welcome, he even offered us breakfast at 4am when we were due to go to the airport but I declined. Gentleman he (website hidden), fridge, kettle, teabags & coffee in the room. Really enjoyed chilling out in that room and getting rest before my departure. I'd definitely recommend here and will be back soon for any other Liverpool games.
great place full of character. just reading the walls as you come in is great. Was met by Pat's husband who gave me all the information I required. I was in a room for 3 by myself. tea , coffee is in plentiful supply. I bought my own milk and there's a big fridge in the room for storage. microwave, kettle etc comes as standard. a basic breakfast is included in the price. You can upgrade to a full English on request. 2 showers and 1 bath with plenty of hot water. I would recommend this. I seriously don't think for the price you will get better. don't expect the ritz, but do expect an enjoyable stay. If you require food there are plenty of take away shops within walking distance. Local bus stops are also nearby. I would definitely stay here again.
Thanks for your review Mick, no we do not advertise as being the Ritz, if we did it would cost a lot more! We like to provide a warm comfortable environment as we would like if we stayed in a guesthouse. If guests can make suggestions on improvements/personal things they would like us to provide we could consider them, but each year we try to improve with new decorations etc. We have a plan in the summer to do some exterior renovations and then some interior, but this should not put people off coming. You will be made very welcome to our house which is afterall where we live.
Exterior looks very dodgy, which made me a little concerned, because it wasn't shown in any of the online pictures. Interior was pretty dark too.
However it was made up by the hospitality. Bob made us feel really welcomed and we settled soon enough. The pets are just adorable. And the breakfast in the morning was more than we could wish for. Thank you for everything :)
This year we are attending to the exterior paintwork, some of which was started before Autumn, however the painter let us down and wasn't able to finish it all, so this spring when the weather is better we will be attending to it. We are glad though that you had a good stay.
Decent room, off the city center with the basic amenities. No frills choice!
I was welcomed very well, the BnB is in a great location of Liverpool with loads of on street parking. I was also given great local advise on sight seeing with directions.
A great little guesthouse, we were made to feel very welcome. Comfy beds. Breakfast in your room was fantastic value as well.
