Make yourself at home in our cute and clean 2-story condo and enjoy your private room with a queen bed and your own en-suite bathroom. Walking distance to Cobalt Coast and just a short drive to 7 Mile Beach, Turtle Farm, and great dive/snorkel spots!
Located on the second floor, the bedroom sleeps 2 comfortably on a queen sized bed, but if necessary a third person can be accommodated with a single air mattress on the floor at the foot of the bed. Two night stands and a closet will be available to unpack all of your items for a comfortable stay. On top of your own bedroom and full bathroom, you will have access to our full kitchen, washer and dryer, living room with flat screen television, porch, and downstairs half bathroom. You are also welcome to borrow any of our beach supplies, including: snorkel gear, ice chests, beach chairs, and beach umbrella.
West Bay is a great place to have a more authentic Cayman Islands experience, while still having access via a short drive to all of the touristy hustle and bustle on Seven Mile Beach. West Bay is also home to the Turtle Farm, both Dolphin Cove and Dolphin Discovery, "Hell", horse back riding on the beach, many great dive spots, and what we have found to be some of the best restaurants on the island!
We're less than half a mile, a 10 minute walk, to Cobalt Coast Resort which offers diving and has a great restaurant on site.
The easiest way to get around and see all of Grand Cayman is by car, and there is plenty of space to park your rental car or scooter in our large (and free) parking lot. Public transportation is also an option, and we are a short walk (3-5mins) from a spot where you can catch a public bus that will take you to Seven Mile Beach or Georgetown for only $2. The feedback we have received from several guests is that they find the bus service easy to navigate and extremely convenient!
This is my honest review of my stay with Jason and April. Jason and April are lovely hosts and treat you like a very welcome guest in their home. Their home is spotless and the room was full of accoutrements that you would expect in a nice hotel room. There was even a television with many cable stations in the room. The only caveat is that if the temperature is hot then the room can be hot too and I think the air conditioning should be running if the temperature is above 25 degrees Celsius because humidity was so high. Also the roosters are quite noisy and it takes a few days to get used to them since they started crowing at midnight and seem to continue every two hours or so lol. Even with earplugs in, I could not sleep the first couple of nights. The location is great if you are going to be kitesurfing but is a little inaccesible to the rest of the island unless you have some kind of transportation. Overall I had a great day and they are very kind people. The simple act of picking you up and dropping you off at the airport will save you a bundle and it is also nice to have a friendly face when you walk into a foreign airport instead of a bunch of clamoring taxi drivers and who knows what trying to vie for your dollars.
An interesting stay in the "real" Grand Cayman, away from the expensive hotels, cruise ship docks, and typical tourist traps. April and Jason are fabulous hosts, exactly what Airbnb should be: accommodating, personable, super helpful. It was like visiting the island and staying with friends.
Staying here is living as a local for a few days. Walk around, use the local bus system, talk to the people.
Thank your Jason and April, we had a great time with you.
April and Jason were amazing hosts. The place was beautiful and very clean. We loved all the little details during our 9 days there ( prepaid phone, beach furniture, kitchen access, maps and books, etc.) We recommand this place. We will miss our little friends the roosters.

Hosts Jason and April were very hospitable and welcoming. They provided transfer from and to the airport and a free local phone. Place is good for wild-nature and birds lovers. The description was accurate - beaches, restaurants, stores and tourist attractions are 5-10 miles away. There is no ocean view and breeze.
Jason & April were absolutely wonderful hosts. Not only is their home lovely and a great retreat from the crowded tourism of Seven Mile Beach, they also thought of so many little details that made our stay much easier. A map with the highlighted bus route and a local cell phone programmed with taxi numbers were lifesavers. They even had snorkeling and beach gear that we could use during our stay.
April is such a sweet heart. She picked me up really late at the airport. I always felt so welcomed their place. Their house has everything you need in order to feel like home. It is super clean and good located. Thanks again for having me !!!
Jason and April were fantastic, and I was only here for a day. They picked me up from the airport despite my late and delayed arrival, and provided a little welcome-basket with lots of information about Cayman. I went on to Cuba from Grand Cayman, and they let me leave my luggage with them. The place itself was exactly as described and I had a very comfortable room to myself - overall it could not have been better and I highly recommend Jason and April as hosts.
Jason is from Wales, and April is from California. We are frequent travelers, and prior cruise ship employees. We have lived in Grand Cayman for a little over a year, and were recently married.
Like most ex-pats that first move to the island, our first place was on Seven Mile Beach. After a year, we decided to look elsewhere for more space for a better value. We are so happy we found this 2b/2.5b place! It's perfect for hosting friends and family, and we look forward to meeting new and interesting people looking for an affordable place to stay in Cayman! We know all about traveling on a budget, and we will be a great resource for navigating this expensive island in an affordable and fun way :)
