This was the perfect weekend get-away from the city. The host and the property exceeded expectations. The house, and especially the kitchen, were great. We enjoyed grilling on the back porch and the fire pit. The stars at night from the hot tub were the best part! We hope to return soon!
Bradford is an incredibly warm host and was extremely efficient and communication was excellent throughout the booking process and the weekend at his home...
We arrived to an extremely clean home and Bradford generously left wine and ingredients for smores. The home is rural but has every modern amenity (cable, wifi, etc should you need them) but you'll want to spend your time outside the hot tub, the trails, or cycling local roads.
The home's appliances were modern and the home was stocked with all the basics (towels, linens) needed for your stay. You only need to show up with food to cook on the grill outside....
This is the perfect base for exploring Page Valley and the Blue Ridge mountains, and an easy escape from DC.
The house alone is welcoming, but Brad made it even better. The local treats (wine, apple pie) were perfect. Each room in the house was beautiful to be in and look out of. We really enjoyed the outside patio area and the outside space around the house. Brad was very attentive and helpful. We felt at-home and very much enjoyed the time we spent there. Thanks Brad!
My fiance and I took a long weekend to Brad's property and really enjoyed it. It was exactly as shown in picture--secluded--which was exactly what we were looking for. Brad made the booking process real easy and provided good information about things to do in the area. We'll definitely be back!
The whole experience was incredible. Brad drove all the way from DC to Stanley to give us wine, s'mores fixings, grape juices, fresh home-made apple pie and make sure we were settled in. On top of that, the home was beyond our expectations; private, luxurious and our new all-time favorite getaway.
We offered to trade Brad our house in MD for this gem, but he politely refused. Thanks, Brad = Class Act.
This beautiful home was a perfect honeymoon trip for me and my husband. Brad was extremely prompt with his responses and provided any information we needed. The accommodations available are above and beyond any place I've ever rented or stay at. We felt at home and the stay was so comfortable. The fireplaces are beautiful and we put good use into it, Brad made sure we had plenty of firewood. He gave us a tour of the property shortly after we arrived and got to settle in. The location of the home is perfect because there is no need to travel more then 45 minutes away to see or get anything you need. We are so looking forward to revisiting this humble abode!
