Brad was an amazing host! He was very communicative and prepped the house well for our visit (bottle of wine, fresh pie, s'more makings, etc).
The house and location are beautiful. The view of the stars at night is incredible!
I highly recommend staying here!
First of all I would like to say to say that Brad was the best host I've ever had. He made us feel welcome, even before we got there! Not only was his place luxurious and beautiful (felt like a 5-star hotel!), he provides items from the local vendors as a welcome gift. When we arrived he greeted us and gave us a tour, as well as a bit of history about the place. The trees and landscaping were beautiful, and other than Brad's house, there's no one else around - it's very secluded. The description of the property is spot on, it is as wonderful as the pictures show.
We had a very restful weekend and Brad went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. An incredible weekend getaway.
We didn't want to leave! Brad is wonderful! We didn't know but he met us at his driveway and let us up to the house. He had a Smore's kit and a pie waiting for us! The grounds are gorgeous and huge! I ended up strolling through and taking pictures I think it took me an hour! The view from each window is just beautiful! I put pictures up on Facebook and a friend wanted to know where it was so they could go! I gladly gave them the info! We are already trying to plan our next trip! Our little boy loved this house too! they caught fire flies...so much fun!!! We also heard woodpeckers and other animals in the evening as we enjoy the view from the deck! Our son thought he heard a bear but it was just the sound of dogs from a distance
Hands down, this is the nicest property we have ever rented. The house is extremely clean, secluded and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. Brad was a great host; he showed us around the house and property and answered all our questions. He was kind enough to leave us several treats for our week stay. The house has everything anyone could need, from a wide variety of cooking supplies to a washer and dryer. There are two fire pits, firewood and a hiking trail right off the back of the property.
The location of the house is perfect. Close to SNP and the Shenandoah River for tubing/rafting/canoeing. There is a grocery store in Stanley only a few minutes away for any supplies you need. Fantastic BBQ place in Luray is a short drive away.
We would not hesitate to book another vacation here. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and our 10-year old loved it as well, especially the relaxing hot tub. Lots of wildlife, including a box turtle who lives on the property. You can't go wrong booking this for your vacation.
What a beautiful weekend! Brad is an INCREDIBLY gracious host, truly one-of-a-kind. His generosity and warmth began before we even arrived and continued throughout our weekend. The property is stunning and the photos don't do it justice. You're surrounded by the mountains with access to beautiful trails and walks around the property. You can enjoy the hot tub to the fire pit to star gazing to relaxing inside, relaxing outside on the spacious deck or cooking. He left several treats for us throughout the weekend- none were necessary but all were greatly appreciated. He truly cares about your experience and will do anything and everything to exceed your expectations. I could go on and on, honestly! We'll definitely be back to stay here and will be bringing more friends and family with us.
Bradford completely exceeded our expectations with generosity, accessibility, and conscientiousness. We could tell that he really cared about us having a good trip, and he was a delight to work with!
The property is beautiful, completely secluded, and peaceful. We had a wonderful honeymoon here!
