Really awesome! Had a great time Brad was the best host. Beautiful place with a lot of room around to explore.
My friends and I stayed in Brad's rental for a weekend. It was the perfect location for a weekend getaway. The house and surrounding scenery is absolutely beautiful! I don't think the pictures do it justice. Brad was incredibly organized, flexible, detailed, welcoming, hospitable, and warm. We brought two dogs with us and they loved it too. I really cannot say enough good things about our experience. I would love to come back again in the future!
We had a wonderful stay at Brad's place! The house is beautiful, cozy, and inviting. There is so much beautiful detail inside the house and property from the welcoming wood stove, to the indoor waterfall, to the hot tub with the beautiful view. The kitchen is a perfect setup for multiple parties cooking, and you will have all of the utensils and appliances you need along with beautiful views of Shenandoah. Brad was an incredibly attentive and generous host, leaving us a welcome basket of wine and goodies and even checking on us to ensure we returned home safely from dinner out in Luray following a snowfall. We feel so lucky to have found Brad's place and plan to return for another relaxing weekend in the mountains soon.
I love this cabin. I've stayed here before and I'll stay here again! It's such a great place to get away from the city. You're on top of a mountain with woodburning fireplaces all over the place! And a great family room for watching movies & board games. And the hot tub is amazing!
There's also a great kitchen I enjoy cooking in very much (though I recommend bringing your own chef knives if you're a real foodie).
Bradford is a wonderful host who provides a great welcome package (smores! wine!) and stayed in touch when the snow began to fall, ensuring we were all ok!
I can't wait to return!
Second time at this house. We like it a lot. Brad and his friend helped to set up the fire in the fireplace before we arrived. That was very nice of you guys. Highly recommend to anyone want to have a family vacation there.

Always a pleasure staying at Brad's awesome house. The fall colors were gorgeous and the host is beyond hospitable. Highest recommendations!
We had the most amazing stay at Brad's place in Stanley, VA. The house is absolutely gorgeous and impeccably well-maintained. The views in the morning of the mountains are a real treat - as is the firepit for making 'smores at night! Brad was very kind and left us a bottle of wine and the fixings for 'smores! He went above and beyond what was expected of him...... we arrived late in the evening and realized we had forgotten to bring coffee for the next morning. Brad very kindly gave us his own delicious coffee, for which we were very grateful! This trip was my first on Airbnb, and I am glad to say that we had the best experience imaginable - all thanks to Brad! I highly recommend this mountain getaway - especially for hiking weekends in the fall when the weather is perfect for exploring outside during the day and coming home to a warm fire.
My husband and I booked with Brad last minute and we are so glad we did and that he accepted. It was our anniversary weekend and it was nothing short of amazing. Brad was exceptionally accommodating right from the get go - he's very knowledgeable about the area and is more than willing to help you with any questions you might have. The house is everything we had hoped for and more - much more! The view is gorgeous especially while relaxing in the hot tub. There are trails right behind the house, a winery just a few minutes away and the town of Luray is a short drive. And if you don't want to do any of that just hanging at the house taking in nature is nice too. It has a beautiful fireplace inside and a nice firepit out. We had a great time making s'mores and enjoying the wine Brad had graciously left us. This house has been decorated and remodeled by Brad himself and you can tell he has put a lot of thought into the details. It also has everything you need to just sit back and unwind for a few days. We truly did have a wonderful weekend and would love to go back with a few of our friends to show them how awesome this place is. Don't hesitate to book with Brad- you will not be disappointed!
My family and I had a wonderful experience at Bradford's house over Labor Day weekend. Bradford was very informative in response to our initial inquiries while we were exploring various options in the Shenandoah area, and provided useful information about the house and the area so we could make the right decision for us as to where to stay.
The house is very comfortable, there were 6 adults in our group and we all fit (with one couple on an air mattress). Everything was clean and in order. The grounds are beautiful with wonderful views from the master bedroom, the deck outside the bedroom, and the hot tub. The kitchen was fairly well stocked for us to prepare meals and enjoy leftovers.
Bradford was nearby during our stay and even dropped of some wine and s'mores supplies for us to enjoy, and a few kitchen supplies when we noticed one or two things missing, and he responded to all of our questions during the weekend.
The main road near the house is a bit narrow so if we wanted to go running or for a walk, we did have to either drive to the town running path (about 10 minutes) or to a hike nearby or the Park, which was accessible by car.
Overall this is a great value for a nice weekend getaway!
We were looking for two nights of quiet and rest in the mountains. Brad's house and gracious hospitality were just the ticket. Steaks on the grill, wine (Brad provided wine with some fresh vegetables and s'mores ingredients), a fire to sit around after dinner, and a hot tub under the stars ... perfect! The photos provided by Brad on the website very accurately reflect the site and accommodations. Brad helped us move in and was available if any issues arose (none did). If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely plan to stay here.
