Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The property is exactly as advertised. The house is large, beautiful, and clean, and it really feels as though Brad thought of every potential need of his guests - from starter logs and wood for the fireplaces to marshmallows and chocolate for smores. Brad is an incredibly accommodating and kind host.
The location itself is amazing - there are breathtaking views of the mountains on offer, and the hot tub at night provides some great opportunities to star gaze. The property is quiet and peaceful, and the trails behind the house are great for hiking. In sum, if you are thinking about going to Shenandoah, this is the perfect place to stay.
Our stay in Stanley this weekend was more than we could have every wished for. Brad is an exceptional host, and we felt at home from the second we stepped onto the property. We were all able to relax and get away from the hassles, enjoy the views and breathe fresh air. We loved the fire pit (Brad provided us with Smore's materials which we used up pretty quickly), the kitchen/grill, the jacuzzi…I could go on for days. Thank you for the best birthday weekend getaway!
Brad was even more inviting and accommodating than his property, which is saying a lot. Any unwinding that we weren't able to accomplish was our own fault! Other than for a short, picturesque drive into town for some groceries, we did not get into our car at any point between our exciting arrival and our bittersweet departure. And it was good.
Book this place and enjoy!
Had an amazing weekend here! The property was spectacular and Brad was a very gracious host!
My wife and I had a wonderful anniversary getaway. The house is great. So secluded and beautifully kitted out with modern appliances. A cozy fireplace, stove, and patio fire pit are a great touch that kept us warm in the sometimes chilly early spring weekend. The hot tub was also a great success. It is well kept and clean. Out in the lawn, but close enough to the house that it's not a trek means beautiful views of the stars and a great bubbly time. Overall, the property is very nice and well maintained.
Brad provided us a wonderful stay at his mountain getaway! We enjoyed the wonderful porches and hot tub. The multiple fireplaces in the house were also lovely in the evening. The house has a lovely view of Shenandoah and is an easy drive to the park if you want to hike in the park. The house is clean and presented accurately in the pictures. Thanks for Brad for a wonderful stay!
Really awesome! Had a great time Brad was the best host. Beautiful place with a lot of room around to explore.
My friends and I stayed in Brad's rental for a weekend. It was the perfect location for a weekend getaway. The house and surrounding scenery is absolutely beautiful! I don't think the pictures do it justice. Brad was incredibly organized, flexible, detailed, welcoming, hospitable, and warm. We brought two dogs with us and they loved it too. I really cannot say enough good things about our experience. I would love to come back again in the future!
We had a wonderful stay at Brad's place! The house is beautiful, cozy, and inviting. There is so much beautiful detail inside the house and property from the welcoming wood stove, to the indoor waterfall, to the hot tub with the beautiful view. The kitchen is a perfect setup for multiple parties cooking, and you will have all of the utensils and appliances you need along with beautiful views of Shenandoah. Brad was an incredibly attentive and generous host, leaving us a welcome basket of wine and goodies and even checking on us to ensure we returned home safely from dinner out in Luray following a snowfall. We feel so lucky to have found Brad's place and plan to return for another relaxing weekend in the mountains soon.
I love this cabin. I've stayed here before and I'll stay here again! It's such a great place to get away from the city. You're on top of a mountain with woodburning fireplaces all over the place! And a great family room for watching movies & board games. And the hot tub is amazing!
There's also a great kitchen I enjoy cooking in very much (though I recommend bringing your own chef knives if you're a real foodie).
Bradford is a wonderful host who provides a great welcome package (smores! wine!) and stayed in touch when the snow began to fall, ensuring we were all ok!
I can't wait to return!
