Mark, Raeleen's husband greeted and welcomed me upon arrival. He gave me a tour of the house including the kitchen(a light breakfast was included), the shared bathroom and my bedroom. He gave me a personal key to the house. He was very welcoming. My room was clean and neat. Just what I expected for my weekend stay while exhibiting my boat at the Woodenboat Show.
I think this has been my best Airbnb experience so far, not only because the rooms are tidy, cozy, and comfy, but also because Raeleen and Mark are fabulous hosts. I came to Mystic to do research for two weeks, but the room had been booked for the weekends. I contacted Raeleen and asked her whether I could make two reservations; I could stay in a hotel during the weekends. Unexpectedly, she offered me another bedroom during the weekends for FREE! She and Mark got the room ready for me on Saturday and it is so beautiful that I don't want to leave! Moreover, they gave me detailed information about their house and Mystic. It's a great pleasure to talk with them! They make me feel I'm welcome in their house! Definitely recommend this place!
Raeleen and Mark were excellent hosts. They were very inviting from the time we arrived. We felt comfortable right away. Also we were fortunate to have the chance to speak with them after our event in the evening. Such interesting and down to earth people.
Staying with Raeleen and Mark was like staying with long time friends. The neighborhood was quite and a perfect location for our event. The room and the bed were very comfortable. And the breakfast they provided was very generous, healthy and delicious. We'd definitely return.
This place is beyond charming! The bed is the most comfortable bed I have slept on in a long time. I had a beautiful nights sleep. Mark was great, easy to talk too and very accommodating. I will stay here again!
Raeleen was very friendly and inviting. I admired her earthy lifestyle and passion for community. Her house is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, and it is just a short drive to the sights in Mystic. We stayed over for a friend's wedding nearby, and we preferred it over normal hotel lodging. Raeleen fed us a wonderful organic breakfast with many in house ingredients. The bed/bedroom was also very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we venture back in the area!
Short night stay in this small alive and kicking house. The big tomcat is for something there, he asks only to play.
The hosts are nice, available.
We spent a good moment with them, to talk about our lives, in front of a good breakfast of yoghurt, muesli and fresh fruit.
Thank you for your welcome!
