Stylish Yurt Retreat on Surry Bay – Nature Meets Comfort

Experience the charm of yurt living with all the comforts of home! Our beautifully furnished yurts offer a unique and rejuvenating escape, perfect for couples or solo travelers seeking something special.

Set in a romantic location on Surry Bay, you'll enjoy sweeping ocean views and the sights and sounds of Maine’s coastal wildlife. Just 40 minutes from Acadia National Park, this is an ideal base for exploring one of the most stunning natural landscapes in the Northeast.

The town of Surry offers a peaceful, small-town atmosphere with convenient amenities including a local market, seasonal restaurants, hiking trails, and access to kayaking and paddleboarding. Guest access
Guests may enter through the shared front door or use their own private entrance directly into the yurt. You're welcome to enjoy the shared kitchen yurt (though we have a separate kitchen downstairs and rarely use the main one), as well as the downstairs laundry area, the deck, grill, and the surrounding woods and beachfront. Make yourself at home and feel free to explore the peaceful natural setting!

During your stay
We live downstairs beneath the two yurts and share the kitchen yurt with our guests. Guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer located on the lower level.

Our 14-acre property—including 500 feet of private beachfront and a beautiful brook—is open for guests to explore and enjoy. Whether you're walking through the woods, relaxing by the water, or enjoying a meal on the deck, we hope you feel right at home in this peaceful setting.

Feel free to reach out to your host, Tom, with any questions about the area—he’s been a guide in Bar Harbor for years and is always happy to share local tips and recommendations!
