About this listing
Welcome to the House where you are delighted to start your day off with birds singing!
Recharge your batteries after your long days of exploration around a drink in a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Ideal for 18 to 35-year-old travellers
This is a brand new 130-square-meter duplex with 130-square-meter garden. A traditional "échoppe bordelaise".
You will have your own freshly finished room : simple, clean and neat, . The room is in our house, on the ground-floor. It means we also live in the house during your stay.
The bathroom - shared with housemates - is right next to the room (linen and towels are included). The living room is separated by a stair, at the garden-level.
Interaction with Guests
We are 2 housemates: Yannick (26), student in engineering and I (30), entrepreneur and travel lover.
If you like socializing, we love meeting new people and discover new cultures!
If you'd rather stay independent with minimum interaction, that's fine too! You'll have your own space.
The duplex has the advantage of being located in a very calm and quiet neighbourhood while being in the city center. We love it!
The duplex is close to Tram A. It is located 10 minutes away from Place Pey Berland (city hotel) by walk or by tram (same time).
The city center is roughly 50 minutes away from the airport Bordeaux Merignac.
Other Things to Note
Check-in time is after 5.00pm, but we can arrange an earlier check-in with you.
The house is usually clean, but it's a living space, so sometimes a glass or a fork might be forgotten on a table.
We love you. But please, respect our home.
Bon séjour à Bordeaux chez Melvyn et son coloc' ! C'était très sympa de se sentir chez soi ! :)
The room is in a very good location. The neighbourhood is very nice and just about 10 min. away from a tram stop. There is a shop and pharmacy around the corner, which made it very convenient. At the time, there were several people: housemates and other AirBnB guests and everyone was very friendly.
We had to cut our visit short and Melvyn was very flexible and approved our changes straight away.
Great host... Good experience. Melvyn is really friendly and tried to help me find things to do which I was interested in. He offered to organise to take me to the beach, met me for a drink, and we shared a BBQ together. All in all a really great stay even though the weather was unexpectedly boiling hot (35-40 deg!!) Bordeaux is truly a treasure of France.
Perfect location for a trip to Bordeaux-nice hosts, located very close to the city center but still quiet at night, a supermarket and tram station around the corner. It has a garden and living room where you can relax and a nice open kitchen where you can prepare food.
I was there for a weekend trip and really enjoyed to stay at the house.
Staying at the House of Birds with Melvyn and the crew was so much fun! Octavio and I had a great time getting to know you guys...everyone was so friendly and made us feel right at home. Melvyn even gave us a ride when it was raining, he made us a quiche, and we got to share some good conversations, glasses of wine, and good food together with everyone. The house is in a quiet neighborhood about 15 minutes walking from the city center or an easy tram ride. Overall, definitely recommend when you visit Bordeaux!
