Beautiful location. We had some issues with cleanliness, but I felt the staff addressed them appropriately. The one dinner we had in the restaurant was very good.

Thala is a really nice resort set in a rural, quiet area outside Port Douglas. This property is clean, the beach is beautiful with lovely hammocks, the rooms are comfortable with nice decks and the lodge area has a nice bar. The resort is about a 15 min drive from Port Douglas and there is a bus you can pay to take you into town if you don't want to drive. One thing to note is there is only wifi in the lodge, not in your room, so if wifi access is key to your visit, keep this in mind. We had a nice time and would recommend.

we wish we had booked for longer Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and luggage looked after Accomodation was to expectation or better, and the surrounds were beyond expectation. And the staff were attentive and helpful with a smile without being in your face Will have no hesitation to return, and will definitely recommend.

A really beautiful spot to stay. To my surprise it's a really large resort but the cabins are very much blended in with the surroundings, and the beach shack bar is a real charmer.

Excellent bungalow beautifully presented. Very well organised and managed operation with committed and helpful staff. The bungalow was a fair distance from the reception/restaurant and did not cause any issues for us. Having had access to a car was a great benefit as otherwise the location may be somewhat isolated for any outside activities.

Very comfortable resort style setting. Great customer service! Found the bungalows too close to each other. Had dinner at Ospreys Restaurant. Mains were of good quality but was very disappointed with the entreé of shared seafood platter - most of the seafood was over cooked and not fresh. The shared platter only provided 1 oyster (I don't eat oysters so my partner ate it). Beautiful setting if you like commercial "fantasy island" style resorts!

We had a wonderful stay at Thala. It's not a resort and it's not a home - it's an immersive experience where you will stay in the jungle in a little lodge. The lodges are beautiful and fully featured. The most impressive thing by far is the main building, which is open to the weather and built with some beautiful timber beams. This place is a must!
