LOVED this place! My husband and I stayed at Isidore's Chambers for our anniversary weekend. The room was luxurious, with a big beautiful bed, small private balcony and a beautiful bathroom, all with soaring ceilings and classical details you hope to get in historic Savannah.
The room was very private, with a keypad entry. Thoughtful touches like wine glasses and fresh towels were waiting when we arrived, which was late, but Christie was very accommodating - no issues coming or going.
I didn't notice on the listing that there would be cats in the house. My husband is very allergic, but since we were upstairs and they stayed downstairs, he didn't have any issues. Everything was very clean.
Location was perfect. The house is right on Forsyth Park, so we were able to walk to dinner and drinks, and River Street was just a short drive (you could walk, but the weekend we were there was 90+ degrees so we opted to drive).
If you're visiting Savannah and thinking about staying at Isidore's Chambers, I would highly recommend. Completely lovely in every way.
I stayed in Isidore's chambers with my boyfriend for my birthday vacation and it was incredible. Christie was out of town during our stay but her sister Beth was very kind and accommodating. The house is absolutely beautiful and Isidore's chambers was even better than we could have imagined. We also loved the two cats! Alphia was such a sweetheart. Im already planning my next trip to Savannah and will definitely be staying here again!
The room was exactly as shown in the photos and it was a great location. However, we were disappointed with a couple of issues. When we entered the home there was a small dog with doggie snacks laying on a couch and a wet pee pad on the floor. In addition there were cats wandering the home and eating their cat food off of the granite kitchen counter, which was also filthy. I am allergic to cats and it would be helpful if this was disclosed. Also, an AC vent in the bedroom was blowing right on your head.
My husband and I enjoyed coming to Savannah. The room was beautiful and the bed was super comfy!
The house is huge and has that Savannah charm you would expect from a mansion in Forsyth Park. Location is stellar and walking distance to everything. We really couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Christie was always a text message away and very helpful through the whole trip.
What a wonderful place to stay! Romantic room in a gorgeous house! Quiet although on a busy street. We were given lots of privacy yet Christie was available when we had questions. The bathroom is the biggest I've ever seen with an amazing shower. Fireplace in both bedroom and bathroom with candles that could be lit to create an even more romantic setting. A very comfortable king size bed! And an in-room thermostat so we could be at the temperature that we like best. This wasn't our honeymoon (been married 25 years) but this place was better than any place we stayed on our honeymoon!
Due to some last minute maintenance issues in the room we originally reserved (Isabella's Chambers), Christie contacted us while we were driving up from Charlotte to let us know the room was not going to be available, and offered us an apartment next to Monterey Square as an alternative. She also credited a portion of our rental fee to make up for the inconvenience.
It actually turned out really well. The location was a bit closer to the river and it was nice having a separate kitchen area. We had a great time in Savannah and did not spend much time in the apartment!
Thanks for a wonderful stay!

About the Host, Christie
Hi! Traveling, music, and the ocean are three things that are near and dear to my heart. It is a blessing to live in such a beautiful city that is great to come home to, and I love sharing our little corner of Savannah with our guests. As a host, I use "the Golden Rule" and try to create an environment that I would want to be in as a guest. Cleanliness and comfort (i.e. nice towels and sheets) are always a priority. We are very flexible and do what we can to make each guest's stay as nice as possible and to make everyone feel at home.
