very nice hosters, nice welcoming, beutiful place for people who like walking around and disover the touristic Rome but not only!!!
Simona's room is wonderful, very clean and is located in a nice neighborhood, very safe and very easy access to public transportation. Very close to the terminals. Catherine and I are very grateful for their hospitality, she has city guides and maps that help transport a lot, she and her husband were very kind to us. Rome had not been the same elsewhere.
I recommend her room.
Very nice stay and just lovely hosts. We had a great time in Rome! Can only recommend Claudia's place! :D
Pros: comfortable bed, nice room, good wi-fi, decent breakfast and very kind and polite hosts. Location is ok, not so close to the main attractions, however, it's just a 15 or 20 minutes walk or a 8 euros taxi from Termini (the main train and bus station in Rome). Cons: street is noisy due to some bars and clubs around, contact with hosts before staying was a little complicated (some of questions that we have asked were not timely replied) and the private bathroom does not have a shower. In anyway, the overall is excellent. I would go there again and I totally recommend!
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Julien and me spent for 4 days on Simona and Fabrizio house and it was exactly what we expected.
Simona and his family (they have two kids) are really charming. This is the real concept of bed and breakfast : on the morning, time to speak quietly with Simona, to share information, speak about weather and what you want behind a nice breakfast in the living room. The quotidian life continue for each other after.
We had our own toilet with water, and the room was nice , really tidy , with a loving window .
As Simona explain to me , the rest of the apartment is the family'place and we just need to respect that!
For Julien, my lover and me, it was just perfect, the localisation is good, the neighborhood is young and friendly (san Lorenzo is near the university ) and you can sleep in a true and charming Romane'room !
Simona is a mum really open mind, she love what she is doing, share a part of his day with other people, and take care about the goodness of her hosts !
We really appreciate staying on the Simona's place.
The room is very close to Termini Station and thus perfect for getting around Rome. Besides, the San Lorenzo quarter offers wonderful restaurants like the famous "Pommidoro" - try the coney or pasta with wild boar sauce! I have to mention a minus too: There's an Irish Pub next door and the old windows offer no real acoustic protection. At least on the Saturday night we experienced, there was no way to catch sleep before 4am. Simona and Maurizio though were very sweet and helpful - simply wonderful hosts. All in all a big thumbs up, except for the noisy windows.
Good place. nice localization and very nice family.
very nice host, clean room, & convenient location.
My friend and I stayed with Simona Marzano and her family (husband and 2 primary school aged children) for 3 nights in Sept 2013.
Hosts: Simona and Maurizio were nice and gracious hosts. Simona apologised for her poor English, but we found that she and Maurizio had good enough English for polite greetings and advice about nearby food, transport and what to do about mosquito bites. The children were not an issue, in case anyone is worried about that.
Room: The room was clean and is a decent size, with a large (Queen?) and double bed (as shown in the pictures). We were provided with a set of towels each. The bedroom window opens up to the street, which was fairly noisy, as noted in previous comments.
Bathrooms: We had use of our own toilet/basin room and also a shared family shower room (after 9:30am, so that Simona can get her kids ready for school), which were both clean and tidy. The shower water pressure was good.
Breakfast: provided in a sitting room separate to the family kitchen. There was a great choice of cereal, breads, jams, butter, Nutella, teas, coffee, etc. A kettle and toaster was provided.
Location: ~10 min walk from Termini in San Lorenzo (student/University area), which is nice and a break from the touristy centre, but a bit of a walk to the main sites (20-30 min), which was OK in the morning, but we did bus or taxi home at night. Apartment is in an apartment block with its own set of doors/keys next to a book store. Felt fairly safe.
Overall, I would recommend this to a friend and I would visit again.
Thank you, Simona and Maurizio!
