The space

Studio situated in our town house with three studio apartments. This one is on third and last floor, no elevator, but easy walk up. The studio apartment is equiped with everything you need for a daily life: equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and wc, living with open solution for kitchen, double bed, dining table, television, free wifi access and washing machine.Situated on the upper part of the historical centre of Grasse close to everything you need and would like to visit. This is not a "high class accomodation"just nice and clean, yes you will hear neighbours televisions, people talking in the street, but since it is a third the price you would pay in Cannes, not suitable for families, but for young (or older) people who would like hiking or paragliding etc in the region, or backpackers needing to get a "home" with a washing machine for a few days!

Guest access

You have access to your apartment, there is no garden as this is a townhouse

Interaction with guests

I meet you upon arrival, leave you during your stay, but you will always know where and how to reach me, so you can be safe that I will be there if needed.

The neighborhood

I lived in this neighbourhood for 10 years myself, it is not at all touristic, the habitants are locals who work and live in the area,it is very good to have all the local shops plus a supermarket just a few steps away. Then again, yes locals do live here and in summer time with all windows open you may here peoples television and talking. You should absolutely take the time to walk around, visit the perfume museums, but also the local shops who will be happy to show different local specialities.

Getting around

Bus station is 2 min walk away,Direct bus to Nice and Cannes from bus station for only 1€50 (includes from Nice airport) Pls note train station in Grasse is closed in 2017

Other things to note

Just please note it is on third and last floor and no elevator, and as town center is pedestrian cannot get closer than bus station with vehicule, so avoid too heavy luggage

House Rules
No smoking
No parties or events
May not be safe or suitable for children (0-12 years)
Check in time is 3PM - 6PM

I just ask people to behave in a polite and respectful way, pets are allowed but it is really not ideal to bring as we are in the centre of town, as for smoking, if you do out from the window and aerate no problem, but not inside apartment please.

Tove was an exceptional host who even met me at the Bus station (despite a delayed flight and bus) and escorted me straight to the room. Perfect location for the old town of Grasse and great value for money.

After having our trains significantly delayed, Tove happily picked us up from the train station and drove us to the studio. She was very helpful and accommodating. The studio was spacious and had everything we needed. It was very hot (being the middle of summer and the top floor) so we spend all day outside. Thank you Tove!

Response from Tove:
I know it is hot when heat wave hits, but as we are in the historical centre and we are not allowed to install airconditioning, but we will try for next summer hidden behind a flower pot or something, ridicoulous rules from town, but this is France and stupid rules, Howevever leeving windows open and curtains shut today it was only 22 degrees at 4 pm so not a big deal, it is in the morning the sun hits

Our host Tove was friendly, flexible, communicative and accommodating. The studio is just as it looks in the photo, and is great for an individual or a couple. The apartment is located in the center of the historic town, a minute's walk to a big grocery store, and several minutes from bars, restaurants, museums, etc.

Great value apartment based in the centre right next to the bus stop. Tove was very welcoming from start to finish. We had a slight problem with the shower but Tove immediately came out to fix it. Would recommend for a short stay in Grasse!

Had a wonderful time in Tove's little apartment. It had everything you could possibly need, was light and airy and so close to all amenities. The bus station to Cannes or Nice was 2 min and the bus only cost €1.50. The Monoprix is 1 minute away and the rest of the touristy bit all within a max of 10 min. Perfect location. Tove was also incredibly helpful in whatever I needed. Thanks Tove. I'll be back!

We spent a couple nights in Tove's apt in Grasse. Tove was extremely helpful and kind with everything and getting us settled in, and also with finding solutions for us when we had thoughts to change our plans. The apartment - very small and simple, an attic-turned-apartment, but with everything you need. We found the bed to be a bit small for a couple. There is noise from adjacent apartments and the streets below, as the location is in the middle of the old town. We could hear our neighbors' TV. The internet did not work in the flat, only in the stairwell, though Tove said it worked for her...We would recommend this apt for single students or couples looking for budget accommodation. The city - as far as we're concerned, there is nothing to to in Grasse. The location is great for exploring other towns, hikes, parks - but to do that we would recommend staying in other towns, or one of Tove's other, nicer apartments ( she has 3) in quieter areas of Grasse. Thank you Tove, and to those who go - a must is Gorge du Verdon (1.5 hour drive).

Hello, originally from Norway, I settled down in the South of France after several years abroad around Europe.

We are a Family of three people: Fred, me and Axelle(our 17 year old daughter) + Shana (the dog) and Mina ( the cat). We live downstairs from the rental apartments, but each apt has their independent entrance.

I just love this area we live in and that is why I would like to share it, couldn't really think of a better place, we have everyting: sea, mountains, small villages, big cities, international airport, country side.......
Been here for 19 years and and happy to share ideas for visiting.

Hope to see you soon!
