  • Only positive things to say about Luis and this apartment nestled between Vatican City and the river. We found the location to be excellent - safe, no more than 15EUR cab ride from Termini and walkable to all major sights - even the Colosseum if you're up to it (I'd allow probably 45mins but it's basically flat). We didn't use the metro at all. Loads of eating options in the area too. The apartment is spacious, clean, quiet, gets loads of sunlight and the rooftop terrace is lovely. The shower is probably the smallest we've come across so you need to be a bit of a contortionist but the hot water is plentiful so not complaining! Luis was fantastic - he helped us with all our questions and responded quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Luis is wonderfully helpful. He arranged for a taxi ride to and from the airport! He made recommendations for good restaurants and explained our options using public transportation. The location of the flat is terrific. It's in a classic historic neighborhood with a public drinking fountain and delicious gelatto at the door step. We crossed the Tiber over a magnificent bridge each day to get into the city center. The flat is clean and cosy and comfortable and the roof top terrace is an added bonus. I will recommend this to my friends and hope the rest of my visits with airnbnb will be as nice.

  • We had a fantastic time in Rome. Luis and his companion arranged a private cab to meet me at the airport in Rome and efficiently took me to the apartment where I was intriduced to Luis. The flat was just as described-very cool. EXCELLENT location-so close to St Peter's Square, The Vatican and The Sistine Chapel. Out from the courtard of the flat a two minute walk and we had a choice of many restaurants and cafes selling at very reasonnable prices. Luis took the time to explain the layout of the flat and provided me a tourist map with the MUST see and do in Rome. The Metro is conveniently located bout aa short ten minute walk and from there we were able to take te train to The Colleseum, Roman Forum, The Spansh Stair and Trefvi Fountain just to name a few.
Whilst the shower may be considered small, it is quite normal for Rome and for the price I paid for acomodation in Luis apartment it didnt really (email hidden)e flat contained a number of fans, complete kitchen and fridge.
I was impressed witht the clean linen and pillows-
DEFINELTY HIGHLY recommended. I have never met a niceer man and genuine to boot!

  • The apartment is really close to the Vatican city and you can easily walk there. The apartment was not easy to find the first time but once you get there and get your bearings, it's easily accessible by bus 40 (the tourist express bus). Being relatively close to the metro, about 15 minutes away, helped us get around as the bus system is quite complicated and many Italians are unable to speak English.

The apartment as stated does not have air-conditioning and it can get hot in the apartment. There were only 2 fans in the house for 3 rooms so we had the windows opened the first night. However it got quite noisy with people playing in the piazza late at night and pigeons roosting outside the window in the early morning. Luis, the host, brought us a third fan and we could close the windows the second night to get peace and quiet.

The apartment facilities were decent and my family could prepare several meals in the house. A few supermarkets are in the area with a 10 min leisurely walk. The apartment is smaller than expected from the pictures but it's a cosy place to stay for a family.
