Cozy beautiful decorated 3 bedroom 2 bath homewith a HOT TUB, High speed and full kitchen. Our Volcano Secret Garden Hale is charming, private, and decorated with our private collections from local artists and our Asian travels. Built 4 years ago by our son ,friends and us, we used large local Ohia post on the lanai which now is the location of a new hot tub and cedar shingles creating a rustic style cottage. It has a open floor plan consisting of 1300 square feet. It has a very large master suite with king bed and sitting area, the second bedroom has a king and third a double. Granite kitchen counter and tile and carpet flooring.
Our lovely home , The Volcano Secret Garden Cave Hale, is located on 3 square forested acres. Surrounded by only three acre lots you can expect complete privacy with all the conveniences, paved road ,electric, ATT MIFI for highspeed and satellite TV. Ten minutes minutes from the The World famous Hawaii Volcano National Park with its erupting Volcanoes, scenic quaint Volcano Village complete with great restaurants, and a beautiful Volcano Golf course. But the most exciting feature of our home is your very own entrance to the worlds longest lava cave, Kazimura Cave. But at this time our Secret Garden and the entrance are work in progress and hopefully will be complete soon.
We have lived on the Big Island for 36 years and the Volcano area for 30 years. During this time we owned a a successful B/B for 15 years. We sold and continued to operate two great properties in Kapoho. Now after a 4 year break we have returned to the hospitality business. We are happy to introduce you to Volcano Secret Garden Cave Hale, our brand new vacation rental. We also are building a studio , The Singing Forest cottage , which will be open by the end of the year. Perfect for romantic getaways.

My husband and I decided to come to Hawaii for our Honeymoon. We stayed here for a few days to explore Volcanoes NP. What a treat! You can't get any closer to the park for the price, and we loved that it was quiet and peaceful and in it's own little space. The cave and the garden are a nice touch. The house is a lot bigger than the photos. It is very clean, and fully stocked with linens, dishes and cooking utensils. Loved the fresh flowers! It was rainy and misty those few days, but that didn't stop us from hiking about 14 miles in a day! There's just so much to see! The hot tub and wood burning stove were a perfect way to end the day. The house can get a bit chilly, so take advantage of the stove. It provides a nice ambience too! No problems at all with internet or t.v. Oh! If you're there on a Sunday, make sure to visit the farmers market! Get there really early, as they sell out quickly. Way cheaper to stock up there than the general store. The Thai place is very good as well. Overall we had an amazing time and hope to be back some day. Brenda was very easy to contact and very friendly. We'd definitely book with them again!
I would recommend this cabin to anyone! It was amazing and clean and very enjoyable. My husband and I were in Hawai'i for our 20th wedding anniversary and enjoyed staying in this nice, clean and modern house. It is in the rain forest, so it was a little foggy and rainy but mostly at night. During the two days we were there the sun came out for both days and made our stay very warm and comfortable. We drove around the island, visited the volcano and whale watched from the northern most point of the island. The house was warm and cozy to come back to each night. It was clean, big enough for a family but cozy too for the two of us. We enjoyed the hot tub and the nice tv at night. Thank you for such a romantic stay.
Beautiful spacious and comfortable house. Very isolated (a few miles from Volcano Village) and peaceful in the middle of a forest. The lava tube makes it even better. Wish we could have stayed longer.
A surprisingly great place to stay in Volcano. The approach down a dirt road was slightly intimidating, but the place itself is superb.
Nicely decorated, clean, satellite TV & internet, clean & operational hot tub, short walk down paved (!) walkway to secret cave. We had dinner at the Volcano lodge and easily drove back and forth. Finished off the evening in the hot tub on the lanai. Made breakfast in the fully appointed kitchen, ate it on the lanai.
All round excellent. I have already recommended this place to friends and family.
Everything was as expected and the house was easy to find. The hot tub was a lovely bonus and the cave was very cool. Great stay!
Exactly what we wanted. Close to volcano national park. Very clean. Privacy. Loved being out in the country. Nicely decorated. Thanks for the fresh flowers. Enjoyed our stay very much.
We spent one night at the Secret Garden cabin, definitively not enough! The cabin is easy to find (with the instructions) and has a huge garden. The cave was much bigger and more interesting than expected - a highlight for our teens. The cabin itself is big and very comfortable for 6 people. Clean and quiet, with a huge kitchen.
Unfortunately, the wireless connectivity is only 1-2 bars 4G. The free WiFi offered is based on 4G and thus not good as well.
We will recommend this place to our friends.
Great location with a magical on site cave & hot tub!
The home was immaculately clean, with plenty of fresh sheets & towels.
Photos don't do justice to the charm of this house.
This review is actually for singing Cottage. This place was so cozy and relaxing. The soaking tub was great and after a long hike where we were absolutely drenched we were so excited to realize there was a washer and dryer. We loved waking up in the morning and drinking coffee on the back porch and listening to the birds. We really appreciated the fruit and banana bread. The cottage is in a fairly central location. We drove around everywhere and were so glad we chose this cottage as our home base.
