It was great experience. While I was driving to Natasha's place, I was impressed with the neighborhood since it's located in a park. Even though I was late for 3 hours due to some problems earlier, Natasha waited for me and warmly welcomed us by giving us a quick tour around the house as well as giving us directions to get around the city.
This apartment is separated from the house so you will have full privacy! It's exactly as described on the website. The house itself is really beautiful and peaceful. However, you will find yourself in another place only 2-4 blocks away where all the restaurants, bars are.
Overall, Natasha was wonderful. The apartment was comfortable. The neighborhood was beautiful. Stay here if you can!
Natasha was a very gracious and welcoming host. She oriented us to the accommodations with the exception of the bathroom. In the morning we realized there was a note in the bathroom wall saying not to flush toilet paper down the toilet, which was very concerning! I texted her and she informed us we could use the bathroom as normal. We were moving into a new apartment and I had to wash sheets that had fallen on the ground. It was our understanding that it was fine for us to use the washer and dryer during certain hours if we didn't abuse the privilege. A young lady working at Natasha's, questioned why I was using the washing machine for linens and were they my linens or their linens. The fragrance in the apartment was very strong and was a problem for us because of our allergies. Everything was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was nice. The game room with the Foosball table and the billiards table was very nice but some people may be put off by the animals mounted on the walls. It was a very tortuous walk from the car to the apartment. Walking up an inclined driveway, up steps, across the yard on unstable pavers, through a tricky gate, down more steps... and for someone who had already spent the week moving a bunch of stuff and for a young dancer who had his ballet exams that week...it was not a good choice. Reception for the cable TV was spotty. When the sofa bed is out, you can barely make it to the bathroom. Would love to sit and talk with (email hidden)e's a lovely and interesting lady. This is a pretty good value versus pricey DC hotels, but just not a great fit for us this week. It is in a nice neighborhood with deer freely roaming the area.
Staying at Natasha's place was great! Natasha was very kind and helpful, she spent a lot of time checking us in and orienting us to the neighborhood which was fantastic.
The apartment is the perfect size for 2 people. It was clean and tidy with all necessary amenities including a kitchenette, washer/dryer access, TV and wifi. The entrance was private allowing us to come and go as we pleased. It was nice and toasty despite the fact that DC was in the midst of a record cold spell--she also did a great job clearing the snow. The parking was also an added plus.
The neighborhood itself was beautiful. Quiet and close to the zoo. It was about 20 minutes to drive to the national mall and traffic was generally not too bad. We opted to drive most places due to the snow and cold making the walk to the bus/metro less desirable.
I would definitely stay with Natasha again on a trip to DC--highly recommend!
The reservation was canceled 87 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I had a wonderful time with Natascha. The apartment I stayed in with a friend was downstairs. It was clean, very spacious area, exactly as advertised. A beautiful apartment with all the amenities and accessories needed. The neighborhood was peaceful and very good. It was close to town and there was a parking space. Natascha was super kind and helpful. She managed to wait for our late arrival and check in. And she was always available for us. Great experience!
