About this listing
Cool and comfortable, this 5 bedroom home is very family friendly and has beautiful views of the water. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, 5 min walk from Gull Park and beach, it's a fantastic place from which you can explore the greater Bay Area and SF!
Come sit out on our spacious deck and enjoy the beautiful views. We have plenty of family-friendly open, indoor space, WiFi connection, and wonderful weather. This listing is for one bedroom, either upstairs or downstairs, that can accommodate two guests in a full-size bed.
All of the space is very relaxed, casual, and very family friendly. The home is very open and large so that you can always find a quiet corner to sit and read or hang out at the dining room table for company. We enjoy company, but we also enjoy doing our own thing as well. Sometimes the home is filled with people and other times we'll be out all day, although we usually come home for dinner and bedtime.
The neighborhood is lovely. Wide streets that are great for walking and biking with a park every 10 blocks or so. The bay trail is also about 3 blocks away which is a beautiful place to rollerblade, walk, bike, or just sit and watch the bay.
All common spaces, plus you also have the use of the large outdoor deck, dock, and BBQ area. For families, in case you are wondering, the water access is fenced or gated off.

Our Perfect Guest:
Come stay with us if you're a progressive-minded person coming to the area for a conference (or un-conference). If you are an easy going family vacationing and looking for a relaxing place to crash. You're especially welcome if you're familiar with NVC or attachment parenting or moving here to get involved in a new project, to visit Stanford; if you're a scientist, artist or progressive educator. In fact, you're welcome if you have an adventurous and generous spirit and have something thought-provoking to say or a passion to share.
Please be respectful and clean up after yourself.
Our kids don't go to school (we are Independent Learners) and we have a very wide variety of interests and pastimes. We are often very busy, sometimes at the house with other learners and friends, sometimes out exploring the Bay Area. Collectively we enjoy math games; Pokemon; running; cooking; hip hop dance; climbing; biking; reading; soccer; guitar/piano playing; progressive education; Magic The Gathering; parenting workshops; community; conversation; Salsa dance; zumba; etc etc etc...
Location: Our home is located on one of the islands in Foster City, 20 minutes from San Francisco, 10 minutes from San Francisco AIRPORT, 20 min from Stanford and 30 min from the ocean at Half Moon Bay. Our location is lovely. We have very nice views of the Foster City lagoon.
I get many requests and questions from potential guests who want city or other locations etc. We are not IN the city.
We are a community-minded progressive family living in a beautiful spot which we love to share.
You probably need a car! Most people have a car around here, but if you don't mind taking the bus, it comes to the corner and it can take you anywhere you'd like, especially to the Caltrain which goes up and down the peninsula to the city and to San Jose. Our house is accessible by public transport, it comes to the corner, but you cannot count on me for rides to/from the Caltrain. We do have a car you can use if you have a valid driver's license. The car is older, and rental fee is $10 per day.

This is a beautiful home with gorgeous lake view located in the end of the street. In the morning, you will feel that your heart was suddenly wide open looking at the water if your own home is located far from water view. I love this house and more about the family. Becca and her husband are all very warm hearted who are working very hard every day taking good care of their four lovely kids. The best with this home is that you can give your children a good feeling of home when traveling away from your comfortable home country. My daughter is only 4 years old who is eager to have playmates and find playground and Becca's home can satisfy all her needs. For the first time, my daughter witnessed the birth of chicken from hatched egg, for the first time, she saw four kitten at home. She also had chances to feed rabbits, play trampoline and swing at home etc etc. In summary, this is a very nice home which definitely deserve my second stay some time in the future. Thank you Becca and John ! Hope to see you and your lovely kids again in the future.
Becca and her delightful family made me feel most welcome. It was a relaxed environment in a beautiful setting. My room was clean and comfortable. They are located just minutes away from restaurants and other stores. The street they live on is quiet and easy to get to from the freeway. I very much enjoyed my first experience with airbnb and will use this service again.
Booked this Airbnb at the last minute and Becca was totally warm and welcoming from first contact. Room was as described--clean and thoughtfully furnished--and the huge deck looking out on the water made for a great place to relax after a long day of meetings. Becca and John and their family were excellent hosts and someone was always available to answer any questions or find us something we needed, like wine glasses. Also, the wifi was excellent.
I had a very pleasant stay with Becca and John's family. I was out most of the time during the week but they kindly gave me some advice about nice places to see around or how to get to these places.
I had everything I needed in the room, and the view from the house was amazing! I also enjoyed doing some trampoline with the kids :)
I recommend this place if you have to stay in Foster City!
Very cosy place, I had what I needed for this short stay in Foster City. Becca & John, as well as their housemates were all very kind and helpful.

About me personally:
I'm a stay-at-home mother of 4, working part-time and a wife to my wonderful patient husband. I home school my children, love to organize events and classes and I'm always up for something new. I'm a bit of an introvert and very busy with my family, but I'm kind and I love to travel, play sports, be outside, and read.
