Paradise found, wrapped up in a sea of tropical fruit trees with things to pick and devour in every direction. This Artful Balinese inspired home feels like it's deep in the jungle even though it's just a 2 min drive to a beautiful black sand beach.
Stained glass, indian tile and tropical wood flow between treasures from around the world. Hammocks to feel the soft breezes and hear the sweet music of swaying bamboo make it hard to venture out and explore the exquisite surroundings.
The Property can sleep 4-6, has a full kitchen, soaking tub, separate shower and lots of outside deck space.
The property is home to some adorable geckos who faithfully gobble up mosquitoes that stray into the house when the door is open! Geckos are found in practically every home in Hawaii and they complete the Hawaiian experience.
Guests are encouraged to wander through the gardens enjoying all their delectable organic goodness.
Guest will have complete access to the private top floor unit with 2 lanais as well as shared access to the gardens. We have wonderful caretakers living in the ground floor unit, should any needs arise during your stay.

Justin's vacation home was paradise. It was exquisite, lovely and comfortable.
We felt right at home. Carla welcomed us and then left us to our own devices. Everything was easy and close to perfect.
I would highly recommend and would love to stay again for more time.
Things to know- get food on the way in. Go to all the places recommended by the hosts. They are beautiful.
This is the second time we have stayed at Balinese Elegance Airbnb. As last time, we were charmed by the beautiful calming vibes of the house. The sound of the frogs chirping all night is such a relaxing song to fall asleep to as was the sound of the rain hitting the roof as we happened to hit a wet week during our stay. We made good use of the wonderful tub in the bathroom to relax in after enjoying the amazing snorkeling in the nearby pools in Kapoho. Check out the
nearby Yoga retreat Kalani for dinner or handmade ice cream!
I thank you for a wonderful first time experience with Airbnb. Everything was great, my only wish is to spend more time on the Big Isle.
Our stay at Justin's beautiful paradise in the jungle was fabulous, beyond expectation! This hale is truly sacred with a very special energy there. The home and surrounding gardens are artistically crafted; full of light, color and beauty.
Descriptions of the home, opportunities available in the area are completely accurate. We enjoyed many activities along this pristine coastline, as well as the quite solitude found in our apartment and on the two lanai's.
I loved the remoteness of this place. I will never forget the chorus of frogs at night, the birds song at daybreak, and the machete crack of a coconut each morning!
The caretakers were exceptional, skilled, friendly, and helpful!! I enjoyed shopping for nutritious and luscious food at the Island Natural Foods in Pahoa, and the local farmers markets.
I feel honored to have met Justin while he visited there during our stay! The aloha spirit and feeling of ohana in this magical area of the big island is truly heartwarming. I plan to return to this special area of Hawaii, and to this sacred hale as soon as possible!
Aloha, and Mahalo, Justin, Carla and Dianna! A hui hou aku.
Amazing house in a relaxing environment. Perfect location to visit the east part of the island. I highly recommend this house.
The property met and exceeded our expectations. Gorgeous tropical garden and friendly gekkos, everything as advertised :) We felt privileged to be part of this quiet and laid-back coastal community. Our daily leisurely strolls to the ocean were quite enjoyable. Last but not least: thank you Carla - you've been a wonderful host!
We had an amazing stay at Justin's Balinese cottage. The space is very big and could easily accommodate 4-6 people, though we were just two. The decor, finishings, and grounds were all sublime. The beds in particular were a delight to sleep in, aided by the chirping of frogs at night. The on-site caretakers checked in with us every day and gave us lots of good suggestions for places to go and things to do--even for the part of our trip on the other side of the island.
The Kanapala-Kapoho road, where the house is situated, is somewhat remote, but astonishingly wild and beautiful. If you want to get off the beaten track and avoid the resort scene, this place has all the posh comforts without any of the bs! From here, we were able to do day trips up to Rainbow and Akaka Falls, down the the Black Sand Beach at Punalu'u, as well as to the nearby volcanic warm pools dotting the nearby coast.
Be conscious that there aren't any restaurants or cafes in walking distance, but with a big kitchen stocked with supplies from the nearby Pahoa farmer's market, we were able to prepare our own great meals. There is also a great smoothie stand about 5-10 minute's drive down the coast.
We can't wait to come back and stay longer next time!
