About this listing
Paradise found, wrapped up in a sea of tropical fruit trees with things to pick and devour in every direction. This Artful Balinese inspired home feels like it's deep in the jungle even though it's just a 2 min drive to a beautiful black sand beach.
Stained glass, indian tile and tropical wood flow between treasures from around the world. Hammocks to feel the soft breezes and hear the sweet music of swaying bamboo make it hard to venture out and explore the exquisite surroundings.
The Property can sleep 4-6, has a full kitchen, soaking tub, separate shower and lots of outside deck space.
The property is home to some adorable geckos who faithfully gobble up mosquitoes that stray into the house when the door is open! Geckos are found in practically every home in Hawaii and they complete the Hawaiian experience.

This place is fantastic. We almost couldn't believe our eyes once we arrived and saw how beautiful it really is. Roman was our host, and he greeted us warmly and made us feel quite welcome. We would definitely recommend this home--its beautiful, in a great location--really a luxury.
It was a great pleasure to stay in Justin's House. The interior is wonderful, lovely decorated and generous. In every room were fresh flowers. The garden is like a piece of paradise and we really enjoyed relaxing with this wonderful view.
The 'house keeper' Roman was very friendly and welcomed us extremely warmly.
Everyone has their own definition of paradise -- Justin's "Balinese Elegance" in Puna is mine. The place is so lovely it's difficult to mobilize to get out of the house and see the beaches and all the other lovely things the area has to offer. Roman the host downstairs also was a delight -- an amazingly gentle person.
Everything was as advertised -- the kitchen well-equipped, a great gas grill on the deck, very comfortable beds. I could go on and on about this place, but just look at the pictures -- it is truly beautiful. You feel like you're staying in perfect, elegant comfort in the jungle canopy.
I did at one point begin to imagine the coqui frogs were an out-of-tune dixieland band, but I just too that as a sign I had stayed up to late. Honestly, the frogs are part of the place's charm and didn't keep me awake at all.
Thank you Justin and Roman for an extraordinary welcome in an extraordinary place!
We really felt home in this place. The house is large, and the style is perfect for resourcing.
With all the tropical trees around us we eat some every day. Wonderful!
And the ocean is at the end of the road...
Our hosts were so nice to us that my teens and I would have stayed there for life :)
Very beautiful garden and calm environment. In our point of view it's a little far away from town so it takes a while to get to bars, restaurants etc. It's very close to a very nice black sand beach though.
This is a beautiful paradise in the jungle and we had a comfortable stay and really recommend this place! The home and surrounding gardens are artistically crafted; full of light, color and beauty.
We loved the remoteness of this place! You can relax and recover in a Hammock, or on the big Porch, with a nice gardenview.
We will never forget the chorus of frogs at night and the colorful looking Geckos.
The caretakers are exceptional, skilled, friendly, and helpful! Thanks Clara and Ramon for hosting us.
If we had any questions to Justin, he helped us very helpfully, quickly and knows what you want!
Be conscious that there aren't any Restaurants or Cafés in walking distance, but with a big kitchen stocked with supplies from the nearby Pahoa Farmer's Market, we were able to prepare our own great meals.
The Blackbeach nearby is small and the water is rough. There are two small trails down, be carefull if you wear Flip Flops (don't recommended) Notice: You have to be a good swimmer to get out of the water.
Sun is round about 1pm. After 1pm you get the shades from the rockwall and palmtrees behind you.
Aloha and Mahalo to Justin, Carla and Ramon!
