Paradise found, wrapped up in a sea of tropical fruit trees with things to pick and devour in every direction. This Artful Balinese inspired home feels like it's deep in the jungle even though it's just a 2 min drive to a beautiful black sand beach.

The space

Stained glass, indian tile and tropical wood flow between treasures from around the world. Hammocks to feel the soft breezes and hear the sweet music of swaying bamboo make it hard to venture out and explore the exquisite surroundings.

The Property can sleep 4-6, has a full kitchen, soaking tub, separate shower and lots of outside deck space.

The property is home to some adorable geckos who faithfully gobble up mosquitoes that stray into the house when the door is open! Geckos are found in practically every home in Hawaii and they complete the Hawaiian experience.

Guests are encouraged to wander through the gardens enjoying all their delectable organic goodness.

We have another larger property 10 minutes away that we are offering an introductory special on as it has just been listed on AIRBNB https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/6486485

Guest will have complete access to the private top floor unit with 2 lanais as well as shared access to the gardens. We have wonderful caretakers living in the ground floor unit, should any needs arise during your stay.

Great location, lovely home, remarkable garden. Miles from everything, so quiet and peaceful. Jungle meets ocean. Enjoyed Pahoa and Uncle Roberts, as well as the Farmers Market for interesting fruit.

AMAZING home! Beautiful, spacious, and clean- our stay here was absolutely lovely. Carla was super kind and helpful, she really knows the area and had a lot of good activity recommendations (like a sunrise hike across the Kalapana lava flow, incredible!). The home is a short 10-15 minute walk from a gorgeous black sand beach - definitely a highlight of our stay. Strongly recommend this home to anyone looking for a luxurious stay away from the beaten path!

What a great place!!! Very spacious, clean and beautiful. We were amazed when we first stepped in on how much more beautiful this place was in real life. Volcanic National park is within a short driving distance. It was also nice to be able to explore the nearby Hilo area. The botanical garden near Hilo is a must see. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place for a perfect getaway.

A delightful host and equally lovely home. Balinese style set in a beautiful garden of fruit trees and palms, elegant yet homey, a few miles away from a black sand beach, beautiful tidepools to swim in, lava fields, local farmer's markets and more. Highly recommended.

This was one of the most beautiful homes we have ever stayed in. It was very quiet and relaxing. The pictures only give you a small taste of how beautiful it is in person.

From Aniah, age 11 The wildlife, like the garden outside and the geckos and animals were such a pleasure to see! The girls could have slept in the hammocks outside for days! The house was very homey and comfortable and we wish we could have stayed longer! The house was amazing and was a very beautiful and graphic place! It was very colorful and reminded us of a very tropical and graceful setting! Thank you Carla and Justin for the very clean home! The bugs were the only issue for me as I am a bug magnet but that problem was easy to fix as they had bug spray! We know that if we go to Pahoa again, we have a place to stay!
