Welcome to Twin Palms, your passport to midcentury glamour and jet age style!

Pass through sunny yellow doors into a tropical garden where Desert Modern meets Polynesian Pop. This completely private courtyard includes a propane fire pit, soaking tub and a pass-through bar, all sheltered by towering palms.

Step inside your swank living room flanked by kitchen and bar areas. Beyond lies a bedroom featuring his and hers closets and a bathroom with heated floors and dual shower heads.

The space
Inspired by Palm Springs, a modernist mecca. Named after the lush neighborhood at the south end of the desert resort town and home to some of its most iconic homes - including Frank Sinatra's home of the same name - Twin Palms combines the tranquil simplicity of midcentury California leisure architecture with tasteful Polynesian accents. This suite instantly transports you to the glamorous escape of Palm Springs circa 1961!
To ensure that you have the most luxurious stay possible, we have focused on all the details. Featuring 398 square feet of indoor living space, Twin Palms is furnished with high-end appliances in the kitchen, vintage and retro decor and custom details throughout the space. Enjoy the heated bathroom floor, outdoor soaking tub, luxurious bedding, plush blankets and robes, and stylish bar ware. An additional 360 square feet awaits outside in your own private courtyard, approximately half of which is covered. Lounge chairs are provided on the patio for reading and sunning -- or perhaps a nap to the sound of rustling palms. You can get work done on that award-winning ad campaign (wifi included) or just sit back and enjoy a cocktail at the pass-through bar.
Twin Palms is the first of several jet-set themed suites that together will comprise Forbidden Island Motor Lodge, the exclusive retreat of choice for vacationing mad men, Bond villains and Hollywood's rising starlets alike.

We, your host, have lived many lives and dreamed many dreams, all fantastical and some of them true. We believe in stories, fables, myths, and impossibilities – the more far-fetched, the more wondrous. We have served and been served in all milieus and amongst all classes, from the grandest Sultanate of Samarra to the meanest beggar of Bangkok. We have trained Arabian horses; staggered to the summits of the Kanchanjunga massif; driven medical supplies for the Hejaz Expeditionary Force; taught clay-court tennis to the sons and daughters of the House of Saxe-Coburg; and thrown pottery with the Lacandon people of Yaxchilan; we are, in short, everyone and no one. In this newest of ventures, we strive to parley our wealth of experiences at the behest and in the service of none other than you, our esteemed guest. Your Humble Servant, Chaswick “The poet and the dreamer are distinct, Diverse, sheer opposite, antipodes. The one pours out a balm upon the world The other vexes it.” Keats, “The Fall of Hyperion – A Dream”
