About this listing
In the Perfect location we have just renovated a little studio in the heart of Philadelphia Center City. Two blocks to the Kimmel Center or two blocks to Rittenhouse its right in the middle of the coolest shops, bars and restaurants.
The apartment is on the top (third) facing the street Space heaters and the A/C unit make it very comfortable in any weather. Brand new full bed (and an air bed if required), The neighborhood is awesome (This address is in the Center City/ Rittenhouse which has a neighborhood Walk Score of 100) and you can spend the money you have saved vs renting a hotel room on the excellent shopping and dining that are only steps away, (the subway is less than 2 blocks also). Expect the apartment to be fully stocked, exceptionally clean with plenty of fresh towels and bed linens
the studio is equipped with high speed private wifi (50mbps), Netflix Amazon Prime streaming and over the air HD television, ABC,CBS,Fox, NBC, etc..
The Deli on street level is super convenient, with great sandwiches, beer etc they will even bring up to the apartment..
Center City is the best neighborhood in Philly for dining and shopping. The apartment is right in the center of it.
Subway is two blocks walk away.
Rob/Metra were very accommodating. When we arrived, it was as if we were visiting old family members. Doors wide open. Smile from ear to ear. A genuine laugh from us and he. He helped us into our rooms and then went out of his way to offer another vacant room that we greatly appreciated. He made the trip to Philly.
We enjoyed our time at the studio. The location was perfect for exploring Philly - we were in town for 2 days and walked everywhere (including the liberty bell, art museum, Eastern State Penitentiary, and Spruce St Harbor park) from the apartment. The description of the space is accurate. It's clean, quiet, and pleasant. Rob was waiting for us when we arrived, and was very welcoming. He made sure to let us know to contact him with any questions or issues, and he was available via text. We appreciated that Rob was flexible about our check-out time; since his next guest wasn't arriving until the evening, we stayed until mid-afternoon. Parking was a bit difficult; we ended up driving around for about half an hour looking for a spot, but found a free street space about 4 blocks south of the apartment. Since we didn't need the car during our stay, the parking was only a minor inconvenience (and one to be expected in the city, I think). My only other complaint (also minor) is that the shower didn't drain well. All in all, I would definitely recommend this apartment, or stay there on a return trip.
Rob made us feel very welcome, he was available for a late check in. The listing is accurate and the neighborhood is quiet with walking commuters in the morning. Easy to find, parking is on the street so you might walk a block or two. Quick stay for us and Rob's place had all we needed. It is an old building with the expected quirks. Also it is a great location to walk the city. There are city rental bikes close by also. Thanks Rob!
This was a great first Airbnb experience. Rob was very flexible with time which made the whole experience very easy even though our arrival and departure times were changing last minute. The neighborhood was great and very convenient to everything.
Cute little studio apartment, right off of Rittenhouse square. Rob & Metra were quite friendly through email. We never met them, but they made it very easy to get and leave the keys. We enjoyed our stay.
Rob and Metra were good about replying to my requests about how best to get into their studio and they were ready when I arrived late on Sunday night to let me in. Rob nicely offered to help me get my bags up a couple of flights to the third floor, and he gave me a quick but good intro to the room. Although I was just there for a brief overnight, the space was clean and I appreciated having a small fridge. Had I stayed longer, I'm sure I would have enjoyed the freezer, kitchen sink and other kitchen amenities. The bed worked fine for me and, although I tend to like a room pretty chilly in the summer, the window A/C plus a fan did the job. The bathroom was basic, but clean and I had what I needed. Rob and Metra's studio is in what seemed to me to be a safe location, and it was super convenient for my walk of a few blocks in the a.m. to City Hall. This was my first Airbnb stay and I'd say it was a success!
We had a good stay at Rob's place, it was clean, comfortable and in a good location. It was located very close to Rittenhouse Square, with easy access to coffee shops, restaurants, shops and the park itself. Rob was communicative throughout the process and everything worked out well.
