Lots of great things about this apartment but a few things that could have been better. It's in a great location as described, and in a very old building with lots of character. You get a real sense of Paris staying here being right by the Seine and the iconic Rue Saint Germain. The apartment is clean and well maintained and the shower is particularly great - especially after a long day of walking around sight seeing. The two heating units work fast and effectively making the place snug and warm. Although pre warned by the apartment description, the four floor walk up does get annoying if you're staying for longer than a couple of days. The negatives about the apartment are the photos are rather misleading as the bedroom skylight is covered making it a very dark room (versus that shown in the photos) so in effect the apartment has only one window - in the living room. The bed is also extremely hard/uncomfortable (and I like a hard bed so for me to say this is very unusual!) Also, the kitchen is not well equipped if you're planning on really cooking versus just making drinks and snacks etc. The majority of pans have no lids, one can't be used on the convection stove, and the sharp knives are not sharp at all - small and totally blunt. There's a convection oven/microwave combo but without an instruction manual it's hard to use. There was also a mishap about the key handover as the person supposedly meeting us did not get in contact prior to my trip so I had no one to email when my flight was delayed. I arrived in Paris not knowing if anyone would be meeting us with the key which was an uncomfortable feeling and meant a few expensive phone calls to sort out. Because of the delayed flight, I had to pick up the apartment key myself at the adjoining hairdresser which was fine as I speak French but working out which was the right apartment on my own when the building's apartments are not numbered was impossible. Lastly, a couple of posters on the walls would help the apartment feel less stark.
Hi Sara, I'm very surprised by your feedback since:
- there is a window above the bed. Did you open the shutter by using the remote control as explained to you in the housebook I sent you?
- all info about the apartment and amenities are included in the housebook available printed in the apartment and a pdf version is sent by email to each guest before arrival.
- you have all technical manuals for oven/microwave in the kitchen drawers you should have opened more closets.
- even if your flight was delayed I managed the situation on a time fashion basis by re-arranging the key exchange. We've always been in touch during your check-in day.
Why you didn't contacted me during your stay? I don't understand the purpose of your comment and I think your comment is very unfair.
We had s great time at the apartment, everything was well appointed and Morgan was wonderful and extremely helpful. My only suggestion would be to have some shampoo/ conditioner and soap kept in the apartment in the event someone forgets to travel with their toiletries.
On the whole, a wonderful option in a central location
Morgan was an incredible host. So easy to deal with from day 1 and the best communication I could've hoped for during the entirety of the booking, arrival and check out. Morgan's friend Simon met me and the apartment and was very helpful at explaining how everything worked and was easy to contact etc. There were pages and pages of info neatly left for us providing great info on cafes restaurants and things to do. I recommend cafe Bonaparte for you morning coffee to anyone who stays here and is a mere 2 minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment was extremely clean and tidy...actually immaculate! Bed was super comfortable , bathroom beautiful and the shower is great. Beautiful view from the window and the stairs were great for walking off all the fries I ate during my stay. Can't recommend this apartment and host more I wanted to. The best experience iv ever had with air bnb. The place to stay in Paris without a doubt
We were met by Morgan who couldn't have been more helpful. The apartment was great, clean, warm & stylish with everything we could possibly need for a 4 day stay. Only problem quite a few of the ceiling light bulbs needed changing which made it a bit dark.
The location was brilliant very buzzy and fun, great variety of types of places to shop, eat & drink and a bakery round the corner in Rue Jacob with the best sour dough bread ever!!! Supermarket not far away. It was nice to be in walking distance of the Louvre, Quay D'Orsay & the Pantheon and close to the Metro.
The Apartment is 4 floors up but even us Oldies - we were celebrating my husband's 70th managed it at least twice a day!!
We would be more thatn happy to use it again.
Very welcoming, helped carry our luggage up the stairs, prompt on answering emails. Morgan is a great guy.
Everything was good. Apartments like on the pictures. Even Morgan was on a business trip there were no problems with communication. His friend met us and answered all questions. Fantastic location, very close to underground, sights, bistros/restaurants. It was splendid trip.
Fantastic location (very close to significant metros and number of amazing stores/boutiques, bars, restaurant and cafes) in the heart of Paris and the apartment was just as quaint and perfect as described. A quick metro ride (max 45 mins to Versiles) will get you to any of the major tourist/Paris attractions.
Was more than comfortable for our 10-day stay - an amazing home away from home that I would recommend to anyone. Morgan was more than accommodating and had fantastic suggestions/answers to all our questions. I will most definitely stay here again!!!
Hi I'm Véronique and I love Paris. I have been living in the city of light and loving it for a long time. My friend Morgan is taking care of my apartment when I'm away and as I love to travel, my flat is often available! Hope you'll like it!
