Our house is situated in a very lively neighbourhood at the heart of the city; very close to bar streets, nice fish restaurants, cafes and supermarket. We can also give you tips about where to eat good and cheap food. Every Sunday there is local market close to our street where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and delicious cheese directly from local producers. It is very easy to access to public transportation; just 5 minutes from bus station, 10 minutes from Alsancak ferry port and 5 minutes walking distance to Alsancak train station and IZBAN subway station which you can reach the Airport within 40 minutes.
Other Things to Note
We are a young couple at the age of 30. We speak fluent English and German. We are living at the upest story and most of the time at least one of us will be around, so you can ask if you need something.
Staying at Ezgi's house was really nice. She and her husband are so friendly and I enjoyed the time very much. Thanks for hosting us.
Ezgi and Emanuel were great hosts, we really enjoyed our time in Izmir.
The house is wonderful, although in winter a bit cold. They have good heating but unfortunately it's per room, meaning you mostly stay in the heated room, which takes a bit a away from the sociability. However, that was more us than them because they are very sociable. Ezgi even took us out with her friends one night, which was a nice experience.
Ezgi has some great recommendations for sightseeing and eating: we especially enjoyed the Kalabalik Meyhane :)
Ezgi and her husband are easy going, helpful and good hosts. We stayed for four nights and had a good time. The greek house is dream full and very central located. Our room was clean and we had everything we needed and had good conservations with Ezgi and her husband. We had also a parking space in front of the house. All in all it was great, thank you Ezgi and Emanuel :)
Ezgi and her husband were great hosts! Very warm, friendly, and eager to share their love for Izmir. The room was clean and comfortable, and the house was beautiful and historic. Easy walk from the metro.
Undoubtedly a great place to stay in Izmir. There are already plenty of positive reviews to prove that. Just to share our own experience.
We came to Izmir simply for catching the flight to Istanbul so we didn't have any sightseeing plans. Ezgi gave us information and highlights of the city and in the end we fell in love with this city. Moreover, Ezgi invited us out for live music with her friends in local bars where we could experience the authentic night vibes of Izmir and had great conversation with the locals.
On the morning before we left, Ezgi bought us wonderful sandwich and we sat down together next to the fire place to enjoy our breakfast. Ezgi is more than a host; she made us feel at home, creating a place where we could truly relax and enjoy.
Ezgi and her husband were great hosts. Ezgi answered all our questions and made sure that we have everything we need in the house and even more! They were really friendly and nice to talk with. The listing is accurate, the house is very easy to reach and easy to find. The house itself was also very lovely and we really liked staying there. They neighborhood is lively, at walking distance to transportation, waterfront and to pedestrian streets with cafes, restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, we stayed only one night. Next time we are in İzmir, we would definitely stay there again.
I had to cancel my booking on short notice due to personal reasons but Ezgi was so kind and wonderful even before i got to stay there and I am sure I would have love it. She communicated promptly and was very helpful in sending clear directions and a map as well as plenty of information of what to see, where to go and where to eat. I hope that i will get to stay with Ezgi when i organize my trip to Turkey in the future.
