Other Things to Note
We are a young couple at the age of 30. We speak fluent English and German. We are living at the upest story and most of the time at least one of us will be around, so you can ask if you need something.
The directions were excellent and we found the home very easily. Ezgi and Emmanuel were very pleasant.
As others have said, the neighbourhood is frequented by some transgender prostitutes but in no way did we feel threatened or bothered. Ezgi explained the circumstances and it made me very sad to think about what LGBT people experience in Turkey.
Still, we really enjoyed our short stay in Izmir. It is such a vibrant city and so easy to get around, compared to Istanbul. Our hosts were kind, knowledgeable and spoke flawless English. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Maison et accueil très agréable. le logement est spacieux, clair et propre. Les propriétaires sont accueillants et généreux, ils vous renseignent quand vous avez des interrogations sur la ville. Ils sont ouverts d'esprit et intéressants. Un grand merci.
My stay in Ezgi's house was a wonderful experience which I would highly recommend to everyone, whether a single traveler, a family or a couple. The house is located in one of the most interesting neighborhoods of Izmir where you can enjoy the characteristic old architecture of the city. It is also just a few minutes walk from excellent cafes and shops as well as the sea. The house itself is beautiful and well renovated. Ezgi herself is an amazing hostess because she actually enjoys hosting people. She has helped me with everything I needed, answered patiently all my questions and gave advice on things to see around during my stay. Staying in Ezgi's place can also be a a great opportunity to meet interesting people as it was in my case. I will be looking forward to stay there again at my next visit.
Staying at Ezgi's house was really nice. She and her husband are so friendly and I enjoyed the time very much. Thanks for hosting us.
Ezgi and Emanuel were great hosts, we really enjoyed our time in Izmir.
The house is wonderful, although in winter a bit cold. They have good heating but unfortunately it's per room, meaning you mostly stay in the heated room, which takes a bit a away from the sociability. However, that was more us than them because they are very sociable. Ezgi even took us out with her friends one night, which was a nice experience.
Ezgi has some great recommendations for sightseeing and eating: we especially enjoyed the Kalabalik Meyhane :)
Ezgi and her husband are easy going, helpful and good hosts. We stayed for four nights and had a good time. The greek house is dream full and very central located. Our room was clean and we had everything we needed and had good conservations with Ezgi and her husband. We had also a parking space in front of the house. All in all it was great, thank you Ezgi and Emanuel :)
Ezgi and her husband were great hosts! Very warm, friendly, and eager to share their love for Izmir. The room was clean and comfortable, and the house was beautiful and historic. Easy walk from the metro.
