Please leave the apartment reasonably tidy otherwise an extra cleaning fee will apply!
Are host went out of his way to accommodate our stay by purchasing an air mattress for our granddaughter to sleep on. The listing was accurately described and pictured on Airbnb. It is in the middle of a lively neighborhood of restaurants and bars, that are open till the wee hours of the morning. Our host left a great directory of places to eat and how to arrange for a cab, which came in handy. Susan
Location was excellent, all main attractions are in walking distance.
However, the apartment stairs were narrow, there was a noisy just under our window, they kept shouting till 5 am, had to keep window closed.
Apartment itself was clean and spacious.
Fabulous location, especially if you like jazz. Comfortable beds and everything you need, and a very helpful host. Highly recommended!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and first experience with Airbnb.
Patrick left us some excellent recommendations for restaurants in the area and we were very happy with the dinner options we chose for both nights. He was also quick to communicate and provided useful information throughout the booking and arrival/check-in process.
The area is superb, not too touristy, but lots of hustle and bustle. We loved the balcony overlooking the street and really enjoyed feeling part of all the action even when we were resting up after 12 miles of walking and exploring the city. It's super close to the Louvre and Notre Dame, and it was an easy taxi ride to and from Gare du Nord. There's a metro station really close by too.
This place is literally steps away from the Chatelet metro---so this is good for easy access to the Metro, but bad in the sense that Chatelet is a CRAZY metro stop
The issue with this apartment is that you are literally right above 4 or 5 very popular night spots in Paris---by popular, I mean LOTS of people, LOTS of noise, and Parisians stay out late -- so light sleepers should take notice.
Also, there is no elevator, you have to drag your luggage up more than 50 stairs to get to the place
The location is good, walking to the seine is nothing--5 minutes----maybe 10, Notre Dame 15 minutes, the Louvre is less than a mile away. There is a decent grocery store close by
The issues with this apartment are (#1) the noise-- clubs below
and (#2) the 50 or more stairs
If those are not issues for you, then this is a good place
