Sleep is an industrial themed Guesthouse located in the old walled city of Chiang Mai. All the furniture in the rooms are self designed. Sleep is located conveniently close to some of the main attractions which Chiang Mai has to offer.
Wonderful guesthouse. Sleep is perfectly located - within the walls of Old Chiang Mai and a short 3 minute strol to the Sunday night market. All of Old Chiang Mai's venerated temples are also within scenic walking distance. A perfect place to stay. Last but not least, John and Jae are incredibly lovely and thoughtful hosts. It was a perfect stay and we can't wait to return.
Staying at John and Ja-Ae's family run guesthouse was one of the highlights of our visit to Chiang Mai. The rooms have a modern industrial feel and are very comfortable. We stayed here at the beginning and again at the end of our visit to Northern Thailand and we'll definitely stay here again should we return! John and Ja-Ae are warm, knowledgeable, and accommodating hosts and we hope to see them again some day!
Unos anfitriones encantadores, siempre disponibles y sonrientes.
Ja-ae and Jon welcomed Lily and I into their lovely guesthouse and made sure we felt at home. They are happy to provide suggestions for places to go, were kind enough to hold our train tickets for us, and helped us when our car rental was dropped off. The architecture is built with an industrial aesthetic with accents of the readymade art movement and Warhol. The room is austere and trendy with everything you need including a mini fridge (which is a great plus) ! Breakfast every day fueled us with eggs or banana pancakes and ample coffee. There is also an amazing juice bar right across the street that serves up cheap and delicious sugar-free juices and shakes. There is also a laundromat right next door. The whole neighborhood is convenient and quiet - we will definitely stay there again (no, seriously, we are returning in a few days!)
I had a very nice stay at Sleep Guesthouse. The room is quite big and clean. Located in the Northeast side of the Old Town, this area is pretty quite but still convenient. 2 mins-walking to 7-11 and Sompet Market (a local market to get your fruit!), and 5 mins-walking to coffee shops, bars, and late night street food.
The host is super-really friendly and kind! The breakfast is really awesome, too. One day I had to leave early (before the breakfast time) for a local tour, and she still woke up early and provided me breakfast. Unfortunately, the tour guide picked me up immediately, so I wasn't able to finish all the breakfast and felt sorry for her kindness.
This guesthouse is really popular, and I would definitely stay here again!
I would have loved to stay more than one night, but Sleep is so popular that they were booked out on the dates I wanted! And it's easy to see why - Ja Ae and John are the perfect hosts: Warm, friendly and helpful. They made me feel right at home from the moment I stepped in. Our room was spacious and comfortable, mostly grey but punctuated with fun decor details that complement the lobby. I also loved that breakfast was cooked upon order. I would definitely come back for a few more Sleep(s) :-)
