This cozy apartment is located in the south of Duisburg in direct neigbourhood of the Trade Fair Dusseldorf. The place might be seen as a good starting point to to visit industrial heritage of the Ruhrgebiet.
Our guests have free access to Wi-Fi.
There is also a small TV with DvD player.
On request, we might put a cot for your small child.
Interaction with Guests
We live in the same House, and we are gladly personally interacting with our guests.
However, the apartment is fully separated and you might also stay completely undisturbed.
Oue house is located in a small residential area, whisch is rather quiet but also sows a little variety.
The centre nearby at the Karl Hartzig Park is provided with ATM, a clothing store with integrated post office. Besides youll find a bakery and a pharmacy,
to meet demands for e.g. money, socks, bread rolls or aspirin.
A street further invites the anger (little Creek) with lots of greenery to short walks to next quarter, where several restaurants and supermarkets,
smaller shops and an old mill are located.
Public transport is nearby, bus in 2 and subway in 12 minutes walking distance.
From there U79 takes you in just 20 minutes to fairtrade Düsseldorf or in 1/2 an hour to Duisburg or Düsseldorf main station.
If you prefer to come with your own car, it can be placed directly in front of the house.
The apartment is decorated in a Mediterranean style, with a large bathroom and balcony with a garden view. I can confirm the reviews that have been written by other guests. The wifi is functioning properly. It is also nice to have a secure parking spot in front of the house. The apartment consists of a bedroom and a separate bathroom, but has no kitchen and no fridge. I would expect the latter, because the apartment is offered as an entire home. I would classify the place rather as a junior suite. The apartment is on the first floor, next to the room of their son. He is very quiet. The bedroom has a small table which is a little bit uncomfortable to use as a workspace. The bathroom has a bathtube, with a shower in the bathtube. I can recommend this place to everyone who want to rent this apartment as a tourist, but actually not for business purposes. Although Petra is a kind host, I was a bit embarrassed at the arrival to find out that she was confused because I brought our cat. Maybe she forgot about it, but we asked their permission during our booking procedure. This experience was written by Ronald, the husband of Fabiana. We were supposed to stay together in this apartment, but Fabiana's agenda has been rescheduled in the last minute so she couldn't be there.
My mom and I had a super nice and warm welcome by Jorg. The place looks beautiful, is very clean, the location is very quiet and perfectly situated if you want to visit Duisburg and /or Dusseldorf. There is a balcony which looks out over a beautiful garden and the place is super clean. We really had a great stay.
A fantastic family with beautiful accommodation. I travelled here with my baby and Jorg and Petra couldn't have been more helpful. They picked me up from airport with a baby seat and had bought a cot. The accommodation is beautiful and there is great space for a small family. Very near subway and bus stop and there is loads of things to do in duisburg and dusseldorf. Will definitely be returning. X
It was one perfect week.
I am thinking, if i can still find the appartment available next time, if i vote with 5xStars.;)
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My stay with Petra & Jörg was phantastic. Being in Duisburg to take care of my father in the nearby hospital, both the apartment and the hosts provided the much needed possibility to unwind and relax. The large and nicely decorated terrace attached to the apartment and the wonderful view into the lovingly cared for gardens from the large window offered balm for the soul. As the apartment is located in a quiet residential quarter, undisturbed sleep was guaranteed. I can highly recommend the apartment to everyone. I is very spacious, and the sleeping room is seperated from the most spacious bathroom I ever experienced !!!! by an extra corridor. Due to its special furnishings, decorations and light- and colour scheme the spa like bathroom invites you to sit back and relax and thus can be highly recommended for a romantic getaway. Petra and Jörg are very open and positive hosts, who take great care to make the stay for their guests a pleasant one. They offered to pick me up at the tram station with my bulky luggage without any hesitation, which I think was special.
The part of town where they are living is located is very practically located between Duisburg and Düsseldorf and with easy access to the Autobahn that brings you to all the major cities in the area. Additionally, there is a busstop a few steps from the house and the tram stop nearby even allows moving around without your own car. The "Anger" (a small stream only a street away) emersed in scenic greenery invites you for evening strolls and to reach the next part of town, which has several restaurants, a big, high quality supermarket, some smaller shops and an antique mill with a nice shop in it worth a visit. In a very close distance to the apartment, you will find a "Kiosk" (Mini-Shop, a typical requisite for this part of Germany), a Pizza place that offers also turkish and local food, a bank, pharmacy and bakery (?) and some shops that will allow you to travel the past and to drop of parcels and letters. And if you are in for more childhood-memory-revival: There is a mini golf course a few steps away. ;-))) I will surely try to stay again with Petra & Jörg, when I will be back to my childhood hometown, and I am sure you will enjoy your stay as much as I did mine.
