The Colosseum may be one of Rome's main tourist attractions, but wander up the slight incline away from the famous amphitheatre and you'll find endless gems of architecture, craft, fashion and restaurants tucked away in narrow streets and quiet corners. Formerly the city's seedy underbelly – where prostitutes and outlaws took refuge until as recently as the 1940s – Monti is now an enclave for the city's young, creative flock, and has the new upstarts to prove it. Strolling the cobblestone streets, you're likely to hear the hum of a designer's sewing machine or the thud of a hammer in a jeweller's shop.

Sabrina was awaiting us when we arrived. I had previously asked her to help me with some transportation issues and she had made the arrangements.
The apartment is located in a wonderful location. It is very near the COLISSEUM, multiple eateries and the metro. The area is clean, quiet and very safe.
Sabrina knew that a crucial light in the kitchen was not working, she promised to come back and fix it, she did not. The apartment and the bathroom were very clean, BUT there was a distinct odor of sewage that progressively got worse as the week went on. I had to run the air-conditioner to make the odor dissipate. I had a phone number to call but the message was in Italian, I had no idea how to reach her. That was very difficult.
I loved the location, the safety of the area and the convenience.
Dear Joy thanks for your stay and glad you liked the apartment and the location.
About check in I guess there was a misunderstood cause it was not me when you arrived but as I was not in Rome during your stay a friend of mine came there to make check in with you. About the problem you wrote about the light in the kitchen I'm sorry but she never told me about this. I didn't know anything about this problem otherwise I would have fixed it.
Sorry if you had an inconvenience for this.
Anyway you could call me or text me at my mobile number you have in your voucher confirmation also you could send me a message trough the airbnb.
I had no news from you, so I guessed everything was fine there.
Anyway except this little issue I'm happy you enjoyed your stay.
Thanks for choosing the apartment!
The apartment is in a great location and suited our needs during a 5 night stay. We were able to cook and wash our clothes which saved us money over a hotel and could walk to most of the sights we were interested in. The owner met us on time and returned our deposit when we left. And when he found out the internet was't working he promptly fixed it. There's a small supermarket nearby which was also convenient .
We'd recommend the apartment to anyone who is looking for a small but decent place to stay in a great location.
