We also offer private dogsled rides on and from the ranch daily where you can learn intimately what dog sledding is. Interaction with Guests
I am very happy to share with guests about the buffalo and life here, as I can between other responsibilities. I want all my guests to feel at home on the ranch and have a wonderful time here. It is an amazing place. Winter can get cold here, on are occasion down to -40! the cabin is beautiful and cozy, but you have to be prepared to do some work bringing in the wood we supply free and stoking the fire and dealing with snow and stuff. It's real life out here and you have to like some adventure.
It's a rural Canadian Neighborhood of friendly country folks with more young families moving in. The roads are great from bike riding and exploring the whole Blaeberry Valley, it's like being in the park without the crowds.
There's a taxi service from Golden. I have arranged rides at a reasonable rate with friends sometimes for people that don't have a car.
Other Things to Note
We very strongly prefer a two night minimum stay, cabin accommodates two adults. Queen bed in loft.
Respectfully, considerately, safely and responsibly!!!
Candles provided for use only in enclosed holders only.
Please leave the cabin as clean as possible to how you found it. The security deposit is for damage or stains that require extra time and cleaning or cost money to fix. No shoes inside! We ask that guests respect the quiet and peace. We ask that you leave the cabin and cooking utensils clean.

I would definitely recommend a stay at Leo's Cabin! The space was incredibly clean and exactly as it appeared in the photos. The location was peaceful and the wood burning sauna was such a treat during the chilly spring evenings.
Leo was a very easy host to communicate with, and always very quick to back to me when I had booking questions!
Thanks again for such a wonderful experience! We will be back!
My experience at the Buffalo Ranch was everything that I hoped it would be. It perfectly encapsulated everything that I imagined of the stunning area. Leo was away for the weekend, but Ed and Sabrina welcomed me warmly and ensured my stay was problem-free. The cabin itself was brilliant. With the stove fire going it was warm and comfortable, the bed in the loft was great and sitting reading by candlelight at night, with the sound of the creek running outside, was a wonderful experience.
To be surrounded by such incredible, rugged scenery, to be able to open my front door and see the mountains and the trees and the snow lightly falling - it's something that I won't forget.
The buffalo are amazing creatures, I'd never seen one before my visit and I spent some time watching as the fed and roamed the paddock.
I can't quite put into words the beauty of the ranch and its surroundings. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. Should I return to Canada in the future I won't hesitate to stay in the cabin once again.
Thank you to Ed and Sabrina, you are both lovely people that I would like to have spent more time with.
The cabin was warm and clean upon arrival, with lots of dry firewood available to get the wood stove burning. There was also enough drinking water made available for the duration of our stay, which was important given the rustic nature of the cabin (no running water). Scenery was gorgeous, the area was quiet, overall it was an incredibly relaxing experience. I would definitely come back.
The cabin was exactly the way it was described and it was exactly what we were looking for. We had a blast being unconnected for a weekend. The highlight was the wood fired sauna. We would recommend Leo's Cabin to anyone looking to unplug.
The cabin was so cozy and relaxing. I took my best friend here for a girls getaway before she gets married next month. After staying, we decided we will be back with the guys this summer! We also went dog sledding with Leo's friends Matt and Jill at Golden Dog Sled Adventure, which was amazing! Thanks Leo :)
Our stay at Buffalo Ranch was extremely relaxing and enjoyable. The little cabin is just as described: a private, rustic, off-the-grid sanctuary with an incredible view.
Great place, amazing location, very friendly host. One of the nicest places we've stayed. Sauna was awesome.
