Our Cottage by the Sea is located in the most desirable beach neighborhood of Sea Beach Colony in the heart of Rincon, Puerto Rico. You’ll love the Key West verve with a bohemian flair of the artist owners. It has an outdoor kitchen, living room and dining area, tropical gardens and in ground pool & is only 5 houses from a calm sandy bottom swimming beach. Enjoy beautiful ocean views, tropical breezes and the best swimming beach in Rincon. This Coastal Cottage has been enjoyed by our beach loving, surfing family for years. It's a special place for a discerning & special guest. Experience the coastal living life, boho beach elegance at a family friendly price. Throughout the home there are lovely furnishings, a well equipped kitchen, flat screen TV, all in a special Caribbean style you’ll love. WIFI throughout the House works great. This is a great home to work remotely from. There are two separate work spaces with desks. Many couples choose to stay here on their own for extended stays with room to invite friends or family to visit. It’s great for families traveling with a Nanny too! The main house, with Air Conditioning has a living room, dining room, well stocked kitchen and library, lots of board games, half bath on the main floor. This area is also cooled by tropical breezes and 5 Ceiling fans if you prefer open windows like us. The Second floor features an amazing veranda with beautiful ocean views, hammock and seating area. All rooms feature an ocean view and are air conditioned on the second floor. Master Bedroom with queen bed, A/C, Fan, the second bedroom with two twin beds, sleeps 2 with A/C and Fan. There is a great family room with A/C large Smart TV, a full bath, and office space. There is an outdoor Casita separate from the main house for up to 2 guests in your group, with a double bed (full size) sleeps 1-2 and full bath A/C and ceiling fan. It’s tiny but sweet. The outdoor living spaces are wonderful, and our favorite place to hang out or entertain with a covered outdoor living room with sofa and chairs, and an outdoor dining room. Full outdoor gourmet kitchen for the chef in the family with barbecue, extra burner, refrigerator, and sink. Enjoy our outdoor claw foot bath or the out door shower after the beach ! Located on a quaint street in a quite, friendly beach community, just steps to one of the best, calm swimming beaches in Rincon, and all of Puerto Rico. Area matters in Rincon, with so much to choose from, don’t be fooled, this really is in the heart of all, and a very good, quiet neighborhood. Walk to beach bars and restaurants, food trucks, grocery stores, as well as the downtown plaza for a variety of dining, bars and shopping, art galleries, art walk, and farmers market. We have stocked everything you need for the beach including beach chairs, cooler and umbrella. This is a great house to rent for a month or more if you are working remotely. We do have a full service generator for power outages that powers the main house, but not the Casita. NOTE: We love to welcome families to our home, but please note our home is not childproofed. We have a pool, and stairs, lots of artwork so little ones can be a challenge. Our children and grandchildren all love to come, but we keep an eye on them, Thank you for understating. It would be a pleasure to host you. Please feel free to reach out and ask any questions or if you have younger children, we’re open but want you to understand the home is not child proofed. Should you need anything during your stay we always have staff nearby to help. You’ll love our local recommendations, and knowledge of the area. We LOVE Rincon, and know you will too.

The entire home will be yours and outdoor space. Our gardener may stop by to tend to the grounds. We also have Pool Service/Cleaning Weekly, property is shared with a few neighborhood cats that many in the neighborhood help feed and care for.

Other things to note
Please note, Airbnb is now offering the opportunity to purchase trip insurance which we highly recommend, you must purchase at check out when reserving. This covers weather and Illness. We have several furry friends and neighborhood cats who like to visit. No animals are ever permitted in the home. While not often, it is important to be aware throughout Puerto Rico we have intermittent power outages. There is a generator onsite which runs the main home. The Casita is not powered by the generator, it will switch on automatically in the event of a power outage. That said, the generator should only be run about 12 hours a day, and should be manually turned off for a few hours daily. The gas is about $400 to fill the tank, and the tank will only last 2 days. Please be understanding when the power is out, and do not expect to use the generator full time. Most outages last only a few hours and are out of our control. We will not make any refunds due to utility outages. There are critters in the Caribbean, it is all part of nature, we maintain a very clean home, and have exterminators monthly service the home. We have hard water with high mineral content, this stains appliances and utensils. We replace the filter in our fridge often and water is filtered.

Super cute safe and quiet neighborhood in the heart of Rincon. One of the most desirable areas to stay in here in Rincon. Location matters! Walk down the beach to Rincon of the Sea's Hotel where there is a great beach, or Villa Cofresi a favorite restaurant and beach bar in all of Rincon. You can easily walk downtown in minutes to enjoy the restaurants, shops, art walk, and farmers market. The Grocery store, bakery is at the end of the road, across the street. Great food trucks, fruit stands and close to beach bars. The best is our beach, calm swimming beach, sandy bottom.
