The space
The property is in a very private, quiet area of Odessa. We are on a dead-end street with very little traffic. The following information should help you to decide if this stay would be for you before you arrive, and are disappointed.

The property does contain THREE houses - the lakehouse, the guesthouse, and the main house (where we live). All have access to the backyard.

I have included photos that illustrate the proximity of the three houses. PLEASE UNDERSTAND: This is NOT an isolated house alone on the lake. Please do not book if this will be a problem for you.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE PET FRIENDLY. We are clean freaks and we clean very thoroughly after each guest, but as pet parents know, those animal hairs are tricky little things and as hard as we try to find them all, we may miss some. Please understand that if you are allergic to animals, don't care for animals, are offended by the occasional pet hair or paw print that might have been missed while cleaning, or in general do not like or are unfamiliar with spaces where animals have been, please consider before booking.

A one-time pet fee of $25 is added to your nightly rate. The fee is spread out equally throughout your stay. You will not see a separate charge.

Guest access
You will have access to your Lakehouse cottage and the entire property, including the lake with a canoe. A code lock provides entrance.

Other things to note
The property is a "farm-like" setting, not a working farm. We love to share our animals and passions with our guests. We have friendly free-range chickens, a darling lab mix (Lola), a Great Pyrenees (Zori), two Nigerian dwarf goats (Calypso and Irie), a Khatadan lamb (Lambee), and 2 ducks. We recently added 3 miniature donkeys to the "farm". (Maxwell, Lucy, and Desi) SO MUCH FUN HERE FOR ANIMAL LOVERS!!!

This is a very quiet, very private property on a dead end street. The property backs up to Lake Juanita which is a private ski sized lake. We are close to the historic town of Tarpon Springs which is famous for sponge diving. We are also close to beaches and not far from Busch Gardens and historic Ybor City (settled by Cuban cigar makers).

We have a family of red tailed hawks that returns to add to their family every year. We also have a family of Great Horned Owls and Barred owls living on the property.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) We obviously love animals and welcome housebroken dogs and cats with litter boxes. BUT, Please don't book if your dog uses potty pads. We have wood floors. We have not charged a pet fee in the past. Unfortunately, not all guests have been courteous in cleaning up after their pets. Our cleaner is charging us an additional fee after stays with pets. To cover this cost, we must add a $20 one time per stay pet fee to our bookings. So sorry-We tried to avoid this!!!!

2) We love scents and use Wallflower essential oil plugins. If you are allergic or prefer no scent, please let us know and we will remove them before your arrival.

Neighborhood highlights

I fell in love with the property when it was undeveloped. It was so tranquil, yet close to everything that we all need to be comfortable (grocery stores, shopping, movies, etc.)

There are only 9 houses on the street and no annoying street lights or traffic noise. The front of the property is wooded and the house sits far from the road. Yet, we are minutes away from Citrus Park Mall and the Veterans Expressway. The best of all worlds.

The neighborhood is just a few houses on acreage on a dead-end street with Lake Juanita to the south. It is very quiet and very safe. There are no streetlights and the nights are dark and peaceful. The only sounds are the occasional owl at night and red-tail hawks during the day. Both the owls and the hawks nest here yearly and watching the babies grow up is fascinating.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We use 95% organic cleaning products in the house. I believe that lighting and smell also create a welcoming space. We use Bath & Body Works plug in wallflower scents. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO SCENTS AND WE WILL REMOVE THESE PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL. If you forget to ask, just unplug them.
