Ciella and Quincy were superb hosts. I was given a ride to and from the center during my stay. They have all the information one needs to get around and get situated. The atmosphere of the hacienda is very serene. Breakfast each morning was abundant and was the best I had while in Panama. Thanks!
What an absolutely lovely find in Boquete. Beautiful view, comfy bed, delicious breakfast and warm hospitality!
Ciella and Quincy were wonderful hosts in their beautiful home. It truly is a retreat! The breakfasts were always delicious, and I appreciated the french press coffee set up since I am (usually) an early riser and loved being able to have coffee at any hour.
There are lovely grounds for walking and sitting. Ciella is quite the gardener, so in addition to the natural vegetation (19 banana trees on their property), you are surrounded by orchids, ferns, bromeliads, cacti and succulents.
They had lots of information on the area and its attractions and services. Book lending library. Quality furnishings. There was nothing lacking!
It is a distance from town - which makes it a perfect retreat. I had a car, but I understand taxis, buses, and even a downhill hike (with a taxi return) are the norm if you don't have your own vehicle.
A great stay - thank you, Ciella and Quincy, for your hospitality!
This was a lovely, lovely place to stay up in the hills in Boquete. I was traveling solo and rented a car and hoping to spend a few days in Boquete both relaxing and also doing some hiking. Both Ciella and Quincy were SUCH warm, welcoming and knowledgeable hosts that I felt instantly at home and aided with information about what to do around town. This room is lovely (w/ a DVD player) and the terrace hammock is perfect for relaxing. The bed is super comfortable and the shower pressure is awesome. With the doors open you feel like you are right in the middle of the cloud forest. The breakfast each morning was great and there is an easy coffee/tea set up in the main room for use any time. They also went over and above when: a) I was feeling a little sick (all the Emergen-C I could drink...a lifesaver); and, b) when I needed breakfast accommodations for my early morning departures (they packed me a breakfast to take with me for a very early morning departure to summit Volcan Baru...I credit my successful sunrise summit, in part, to a hearty breakfast). Very personal service. They also have a friend who is a masseuse and, with prior arrangements, will come to the house and give incredible massages - perfect after the beautiful hiking around Boquete. They also provided a local phone that I could use when I needed. I did not end up using the phone, but as a single female traveler from abroad, that kind of thoughtful assistance is really helpful. It was a quick ten minute drive into town (partly on dirt/gravel roads which were not a problem even though I had a small economy car). All in all, I would highly recommend this place to stay.
The reservation was canceled 43 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The Hacienda was splendid. Best part was the hosts, Scott and Victoria, who mere most fun to be with, interesting, and helpful with advice. Breakfasts were great--something different each day. All good. The grounds were nice to walk around in; to relax in. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our time at the Hacienda. The accommodations are peaceful and gorgeous. You feel like you are really in the jungle. Note: it is close to town walking downhill but very long uphill (45 minutes) so we ended up paying for a lot of cab rides. Scott and Victoria lent us a phone for our stay and it was very gracious of them. Breakfast was good and featured bananas that grow on the property.

About the Host, Ciella
We fell in love with Boquete, Panama on a quick trip here 9 years ago. The air is clean and fresh with lush vegetation and the tropical beauty lured us back to purchase a home. We love to hike and garden and be "out" in nature. We wanted to be near the ocean but could not tolerate the heat. Here we can be boogie boarding in an hour and a half or in the river in 30 minutes. I love the mountains so I have the best of all worlds here without the winter weather. We have an endless growing season so I can experiment with the wide variety of bromeliads, orchids and cacti, a lovely mix. I worked in the hospitality sector in the U.S. so opening a small B and B is a great fit.
