Our stay at Ocean Hideaway was fantastic. The cottage was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated and the kitchen was fully stocked with the essentials. We enjoyed making ourselves breakfast with use of a gas stove and coffee machine.
The cottage is a short walk from the beach and close to an outlet mall for shopping. The area is quiet, which makes it ideal for a relaxing getaway. I would recommend this accommodation particularly for a couple, although it can sleep up to 4 adults.
The owners made sure we knew how to get there, and when our fireplace stopped working one evening, they had it fixed for us the next day. I was very impressed and grateful with their attention to details such as these and would definitely book with them again if I returned to the Oregon Coast.
The Ocean Hideaway was 624 sq ft of correctly presented loveliness, just like in the photos. Surprisingly spacious, there were tons of cute little comforts that made it cozy. Chocolate on the pillow, Keurig for easy caffeine, kites and all the amenities of home. Lovely breezes flow through the neighborhood allowing us to avoid the harsh beach winds and soak in the sun. Falling asleep was cozy in the comfy bed and hundreds of glowing stars stuck to the ceiling. Our host allowed us flexible check in/out times and made sure we'd have everything we'd need. Instead of meeting our friends for lunch at a local spot, we had them head to the Ocean Hideaway -- so they could see the place for potential future rentals. It was lovely and I wish I had a timeshare here. Final note: make sure you look at your google map for directions, don't just listen to Siri, to get there quickly. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
The Ocean Hideaway is a wonderful little beach house. Very cozy with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach, on a quiet street, very clean, cute gas fireplace, nice bathroom, comfortable furnishings, well equipped kitchen, and even a chocolate bar on our pillow when we arrived! Michelle was responsive and communicative. She provides all the information you could need just where you need it (e.g. - instructions for the heater right next to the controls). We will definitely go back!
The house was just as it looked in the pictures! Cute and quaint! It was literally a block away from the beach. The weather wasn't as great as we would have liked but we had such a fun time staying in and watching movies and making snacks! Everything we could've needed was stocked up. It was perfectly private but close enough to the rest of the town that nothing felt too far to walk. Luckily the sun came out for the last bit of our trip and we got to take a hike and play on the beach before heading out. I wanted to go back the second I got home!
We had such a wonderful time at this adorable beach house! So close to the ocean, such a warm and cozy decor, and a wonderfully attentive and accommodating host! I hope to back this summer!
This house is amazing. Someone has either great taste or a fantastic decorator. When you first arrive your eye is fascinated by the little touches including a dolphin flush handle! I won't give a way anymore, but we were comfortable and happy with the neighborhood. We are hoping to try it in the summer.
