Other Things to Note
My husband and I along with my parents were looking for a waterfront getaway near the White Mountains for a long weekend. This was my first airbnb experience, and it worked out great! The house is lovely, the view is even lovelier. We had more than enough space for the 4 of us and were very comfortable (the pictures are very accurate). We spent the least time on the lower level and did not use the hot tub, so I can't speak to those. Communication with P.T. through the process was easy and reliable, as he answered each of my emails (I sent a few with questions) within 24 hours, and thorough directions and "house rules" were given before arrival. Overall, we would absolutely stay again, and bring a few more people next time!
P.T. was a great host. He arranged for a temporary hot tub to be set up, since his was broken. I saw this as going above and beyond! The house was beautiful - stunning views of the lake. Beds were really comfy and warm. We bought some wood off a local and had a fire in the fire pit. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back, perhaps this winter for a ski trip!
Host was flexible and easy to work with. Home was as described, clean, great location!
Hot tub didn't work upon arrival but host accommodated in other ways that made up for it and was getting fixed ASAP. Happy guests :)
The reservation was canceled 73 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
How was beautiful. Great location. Close to weirs beach and meredeth. Huge deck, nice furniture, great (website hidden) very nice as well. a+
Absolutely the best situation I could have hoped for - I booked the house on short notice and it was good to go and in outstanding condition. I don't know how he does it. If you're looking for a place on Lake W - look no further. This is the place.
Sometimes I wonder when I picture the houses I see on a site like this “man, does that really look like that? That looks like hotel-room-level camera trickery.” I can say that this is most definitely not the case with this home! If anything, the reality is nicer than the pictures, which already portray it very invitingly. It is, too, quite secluded – we barely heard any other people all weekend (and it was the beginning of Bike Week!). The house is decked out with a nice, easy-to-use thermostat with clear instructions; several HDTVs to meet all your varied needs; good reliable wi-fi which helps make up for the one negative that this and other lake houses suffer from (poor cell coverage).
P.T. was incredibly responsive and very easy to work with. He was helpful and didn’t mind answering my last minute maybe-not-so-important questions and was up front and clear about all important information. The check-in/check-out process was made abundantly clear and frankly, getting this place for $500 per night split between even just a few guys is a steal considering your cleanup responsibilities are limited to stripping beds, tidying up, and placing garbage in the garage. Can’t ask for much more than that out of a relaxing weekend with the guys.
While I did not bring my dog, P.T. indicates in his listing that the house is “pet friendly.” I’d say that’s understating it! There is a doggie bed in one of the master bathrooms; there is a beautiful rustic dog house set up on the hill facing the water. There are dog food dishes around and numerous gate-style metal grates set up around the deck to contain a dog. There are numerous chew toys/bones either out on the lawn or in the closets for their use. The property itself goes down to the water so I almost regret not bringing my water dog who would have loved being able to splash around on shore while we grilled up on the deck. Maybe next time!
The house is 2 levels, with a nearly complete wraparound deck for the entire top level complete with one (or possibly two?) nice, reliable gas grill that served almost all our cooking needs. The downstairs is a smaller cozier feel, but furnished maybe even nicer than the upstairs. There are sliding glass doors all around the house, and downstairs there is one set that leads directly to a large (listing says 8-person; I guess you could fit 8 people but we were 4 grown men already playing footsies in there – but still, it is big and not at all cramped) hot tub that works marvelously and a separate sliding glass door which leads directly to the stairs out the back of the house leading down to the house’s private dock/deck on the water. Home was very obviously renovated well and it will serve all your needs very well! Thanks, P.T., for making such a beautiful and conveniently located house available for rent!
Overall, just a laid back pretty good guy....I own a real estate firm in Boston and spend my time in the City, up on Lake Winnipesaukee at our listed lake home, or travelling where and when I can.
I live for my family, friends, and dog (not necessarily in that order) and like to develop and renovate real estate, dine, socialize, and play hockey, golf, and tennis in my free time.
