This 1 bedroom apartment has been carefully decorated creating a relaxed ambiance and is the perfect couple getaway. There is a sofa-bed in the living room allowing to accomodate up to 4 people comfortably.
The apartment comprises:
- Fully equipped kitchenette with all appliances (fridge/freezer, boiler, washing mashine, microwave, electric hob, oven, extractor, toaster, coffee maker, blender) and all utensils needed for cooking
- Open plan living/dining room with comfortable sofa bed, TV, Cable TV (100 channels, including French, Spanish and English) DVD and radio
- Double bedroom with fitted wardrobe leading to the balcony
- Large balcony with built in barbecue and table and garden chairs
- Bathroom with bathtub
There is a shared swimming pool and garden with sun loungers in the building.
It is situated in a quiet and central area just 300 meters away from a wide variety of supermarkets such as Continente, Aldi and (website hidden) Donald's is also just 300 meters away from the apartment. It is within easy reach of the main beaches of the council such as Praia da Rocha, Praia do Vau and also to the city centre and riverside.
Other attractive places like the beautiful fishing village of Alvor, and Ferragudo with their narrow cobble streets are just a short 10 minutes drive away.
On a short trip to Monchique (17Km) you can enjoy the quiet and the mountain delicacies, or a trip to Sagres (55 km) to visit the Cape St. Vincent (The end of the world) in the most western point of the Algarve.

To the whole apartment and communal areas which include swimming pool and small garden in the entrance of the building. The balcony with charcoal barbecue is private to the apartment.
- Please refrain from smoking indoors, instead please use the lovely balcony.
- We request our guests to leave the apartment clean and tidy.
- If there is any damage to the property during your stay please let me know as soon as possible.
- The security deposit is fully reimbursed providing there is no damage to the property.
- Please kindly note that our monthly prices are only applicable in low season (from November to April). Utilities are not included in the price and a reading will be done at the beginning and end of your stay and charged separately.
- On high and peak season (June to September) the minimum stay is 7 nights and changeover is preferably on saturdays. On the rest of the year minimum stays are shorter and changeover day is flexible in order to suit traveling requirements.
- Kindly note that Wifi is available upon request at an extra cost 10€ per week or 2€ per day.
- Please let us know in advance if you plan to arrive after 20:00. Late arrivals may incur in an extra cost of 15€.
- We supply towels, bedding and toilet paper. We do not supply shower gel. Towels and bedding will only be exchanged in stays longer than 10 nights (except monthly stays). Mid-week cleaning and towels / bedding exchange are available at an extra charge and upon request.
Obwohl wir Tania nicht persönlich getroffen haben, war der umgang total nett und unkompliziert. Innerhalb weniger Minuten hatten wir immer Antwort auf unsere Nachrichten an sie. Sie hat sich große Mühe mit einer umfangreichen Wegbeschreibung inklusive Fotos gegeben, was die Anreise sehr einfach gestaltete. Das Apartment ist liebevoll eingerichtet, hat absolut alles was man braucht, ist sehr sauber und großzügig. Die Nachbarschaft hat man kaum mitbekommen, trotz Hochhaus. Lediglich ein paar hunde, die ab und zu gebellt haben. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und zentral, mit Nähe zu vielen Einkaufmöglichkeiten. Trotzdem ist es von Vorteil, wenn man einen Mietwagen hat, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Insgesamt ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Algarve zu erkunden. Gerne wieder. ;)
We had a really nice stay in Tania's apartment. With the instructions the apartment was easy to find and everything in the apartment was arranged for our stay (bedlinen, towels, fully equiped kitchen etc). The apartment is at a good location and we especially liked the big balcony with the pizza oven. We would definately recommend this apartment, especially for couples.
Lovely, well equipped apartment. Extremely clean and comfortable. It's on the 11th floor of a high rise apartment block amongst dozens of other of high rise blocks. Not surprising then that apartment block Plot 15 was a nightmare to find when we arrived in Portimao in our hire car. In the end I had to phone Tanya for help. Tanya is a lovely person and soon set us on the right path. Arriving at about 1:00am is not really the best time to look for a needle in a haystack! I hope something might be worked out to help future travellers find the apartment easier. The apartment is really very good, though and has a large balcony complete with table and chairs for al fresco dining and an impressive looking built-in barbecue. We didn't use it so can't comment on how good or otherwise it is. The view from the balcony is mostly of all the high-rise blocks, but to the right in the near distance, it is possible to view the multitude of boats moored on the river. There is a large excellent supermarket (Continentė) where we were able to stock up with everything we needed and found the prices to be really cheap. This supermaket also boasts a shopping mall and cinema on the first floor along with an array of reasonably priced cafés. There is also a Lidl close to the Continenté. Its well worth walking down to the museum and paying the small entrance fee. Come out of the museum and go left for a lovely walk along the quayside to eventually arrive at the centre of Portimao. On the way there are kiosks where boat owners will try to get you to take a boat trip. We went on one which we'd booked online from home and I can highly recommend it. That one was on the solar powered boat and I can tell you we had a fantastic day out journeying along the river, stopping at the lovely village of Silves for a couple of hours. We had lots of drink and a lovely meal was included. The boat only carried about 12 passengers so it was really easy to chat to and get to know other people. It wasn't cheap, I suppose (€40 each), but wouldn't have missed it for the world. Alvor is about 7km away and is a very popular seaside town. Loads of restaurants and bars here. The areas In an around Portimao are very interesting and the apartment is conveniently situated as a starting point. Within walking distance (about4.5km) is Praia da Rocha which has a lovely beach. Its also becoming quite attractive in its own right as a resort and is well worth a visit. Plenty of parking spaces if you don't fancy walking. We had a lovely time in the Algarve and I really cannot speak too highly of Tanya. She is always ready to help whenever it might be needed.

Had a fantastic stay in Tania's apartment. Great contact with Tania and easy to find (with a satnav from Faro airport!). Great base to explore the Algarves. Clean and spacious apartment with huge balcony to enjoy meals and the warm Portuguese sunshine! Would have loved to stay longer!
appartement magnifique et tres propre avec une decoration soignée. la terrasse est bien agreable avec son barbecue. nous n'avons pas profité de la piscine car les plages sont magnifiques et tres proches de l'appartement, une voiture est cependant recommandée. tania est un hote charmante qui nous a donné des bons plans sur sa ville.
petit bemol: difficile de se retrouver dans une ville ou les noms de rues se font rares !!!!
