Our stay worked out well. The apartment is in a great location. The stairs on the way up are a bit tricky, if carrying heavy cases. But the apartment itself was fine.
This home was everything described and more! I absolutely loved the entire layout/decor of the house - very homey and cute feel too it. Greg was extremely accommodating and answered us back very quickly whenever we contacted him. I love that he left out a binder of activities, restaurants, travel and more - it was very helpful.
The location was great as well - very easy to get to and from Boston and the neighboring town was very charming and close to the Charles River (We got to go kayaking!)
Overall, this home is everything described and perfect for anyone trying to check out Boston. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay here again!
This was a great place to stay! The self-entry worked great, and though I never met Greg, he was quick to respond to requests and very kind and easy to deal with. The apartment is clean, well cared for, and very nice to stay in. Comfy bed, nice bathroom. There was fresh fruit and flowers awaiting me upon arrival. Great neighborhood with easy shopping and places to eat within walking distance. And being on the third floor, I barely heard a peep from anyone else in the building.
I'd stay here again and highly recommend the apartment!
Good location and rate, walking distance to Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, bus and subway. Safe neighborhood with some charming shops and cafes. Comfortable bed and practical kitchen.
Greg initiated communication a few days before our arrival. He gave us clear instructions for checking in, and was great at communicating with us throughout our stay. I really loved the notebook of recommendations in the apartment.
As requested, he provided a portable crib, with crib sheets and extra blankets too! My toddler loved the board books and toys stocked in the apartment. We even were able to do a load of laundry, which helped us pack a bit lighter.
The shower is a little awkward, but we'd definitely consider staying here again when we next travel to Cambridge!
Great little apartment in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable and clean, and we would return if in the area.
We had an enjoyable and comfortable stay at Greg's Charming Tree Top Abode. The photos and description of the apartment are accurate. Everything we would have needed was likewise provided for, including towels, toiletries and kitchen paraphernalia. The home is on the third floor so you would have climb three flights of stairs, which can be difficult if you have heavy bags or suitcases with you.
It's unfortunate that we weren't able to personally meet Greg but he was responsive through messages and calls, especially when we were having trouble with the lock of the back door entrance. Would definitely recommend this listing to family and friends.

About the Host, Greg
I spent most of my adult life traveling around the globe from my home base in Portland,Oregon... sometimes staying in people's house, sometimes just a hammock between two trees. I am currently indoctrinating my son to like these things so we can hit the road when he gets a wee bit older. My last trip was across India by bicycle. Good fun if you get the chance!
Since I've been in Cambridge, I've learned things that would be not possible while traveling, learning the guitar, making beer, perfecting my jerk chicken burritos...and I've grown to love this town...lively music scene, and the biking is getting better and better!
