The other is an electric shower and the switch is on the linen cupboard at the top of the stairs . It is hot automatically. Our stay in Dingle was wonderful! John's place was the perfect location to explore the western end of the peninsula and the town itself. John was a fantastic host and the food at his pub was delicious! Would recommend this place for anyone visiting Dingle.
We had a great time at John Benny's. The location is perfect--right on the main street but set back enough that it's quiet. We watched sheep and cows moving around in the morning out the back window. The place is comfortable spacious with three bathrooms and two bedrooms. (It was just my husband and me, but we appreciated the space.)
This accommodation was one of the highlights of our vacation! We stayed in several cottages, but we were delighted by the amount of space provided in these cottages. The close proximity to the main strip of pubs and shops in Dingle also makes this location a prime spot. Dingle was our favorite stop on our trip, and we would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone traveling to Dingle.
We couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations. Fantastic location, quiet for sleeping and staggering distance from the pubs. We spent many an hour in John's bar listening to great local musicians. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
The cottage was fantastic - beautifully decorated with everything you need. The location was perfect, in the heart of the town but secluded enough not to be noisy. John was really friendly and helpful. A great place to stay!
After a two week whirlwind driving tour of England, staying in B&B's and tiny hotel rooms, it was so nice to settle into John Benny and Eilís's lovely cottage for a week. It was everything that we expected and more. You don't expect to find Le Creuset cookware in a rental cottage! How nice it was to be able to cook our own meals and do our own laundry (I can't believe I just wrote that!). It was rainy and around 10 degrees Fahrenheit colder than normal for much of the week but one of our favorite days was spent indoors, playing CD's by local musicians and making Irish stew while a fire burned in the fireplace. John Benny's pub has great live Irish traditional music several nights a week, including John Benny and Eilís themselves. They are not to be missed.
John Benny and Eilis were charming and friendly and quickly dropped what they were doing to welcome us and show us around the cottage. The cottage itself was clean and well-equipped and quite lovely, especially the patio area. It felt like a home, and we found ourselves looking forward to walking back up to it, every day.
