I have lived in Santa Fe for over 30 years and work in the ski and construction industries. I will respect your quiet and privacy and yet be available to share tourist information and personal recommendations.
As a long-time resident who skis, hikes and dances (salsa and two step), I will be able to direct you to trails, clubs and restaurants that are popular with locals.
I provide guests with maps and an abundance of tourist information, including my personal recommendations of restaurants, shops, day trips and local events.
This beautiful neighborhood of large estate properties is distinguished by the large native pinon and juniper trees and is home to wildlife and mountain views in all directions.
For optimal access to all that Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico have to offer, it is best to have a car. If you do not have a car, it is possible to combine walking with public transportation, tour companies and taxis.
Be sure to check flight connections directly into the Santa Fe airport (SAF). Rental cars are very reasonable if booked in advance or the shuttle from the Santa Fe airport will bring you directly to my home.
No smoking or pets in home.
We had a wonderful stay at Mary Anne's place. Even though we were gone a lot, it was so nice to come "home" to a cozy atmosphere. The deck was our favorite spot...beautiful views and lots of nature...even saw a bobcat with her four cubs. You will love it here. It's clean, cozy and a perfect place to come and relax.
Mary Anne's house is fabulous. Beautifully designed(by her, I think) with an exquisite folk art collection throughout. Also lovely gardens with many hummingbirds ,others and butterflies. She wasn't there, but left another lovely guest, who was prepared for me…The neighborhood is perfect for museum goers.MIFA is my favorite and her house was like that. In addition to her wonderful taste, she left extra special blueberries and strawberries that were fit for the connoisseur she undoubtedly is. I would love to return and meet her too.
Mary Ann was a great host. We felt very welcome and made a instant friend. She had great recommendations for restaurants, IPhone apts to navigate Santa Fe, the best of Santa Fe. The location was perfect, the views are outstanding, a beautiful home. The home is a folk art museum into its self. I would most certainly request to stay with her again.
See comments below. A wonderful time.
Here are Will's comments: Our host Mary Anne was a delight. We enjoyed nice conversation at morning coffee on the terrace patio with beautiful southern views of valley and mts. The room was spacious clean and decorated with traditional south west styes and very comfortable. Morning breakfast was lovely with fresh berries fruit yogurt and granola. It was a great stay and very delightful. This is only a big IF someone absolutely needed TV in room it is only local antenna TV. But it didn't work in bedroom. No problem at all for us. As do much to do in the area that TV want a priority. Thanks Mary Anne you are a special person. Will and Branan.
Mary Anne's place was really, really beautiful. It was as she described. Also very clean, and, the decor, even down to the towels, was perfect. Thank you Mary Anne! We had a great stay.
If you are looking for. an awesome retreat close to much of the best of Santa Fe, stay at Mary Anne's Museum Hill house. Absolutely lovely home with comfy beds, fabulous views and just steps away from 4 world class museums. This will definitely be our go to place to stay in Santa Fe.
Mary Anne's home was even better than the description. Spacious room, clean and super location. 5 minute walk to the museums. Mary Anne did a great job of recommending activities and restaurants that were perfect for my husband and me. Very interesting conversations with Mary Anne and the other guests. We will be back the next time we are in Santa Fe.
