Interaction with Guests
I have lived in Santa Fe for over 30 years and work in the ski and construction industries. I will respect your quiet and privacy and yet be available to share tourist information and personal recommendations.
As a long-time resident who skis, hikes and dances (salsa and two step), I will be able to direct you to trails, clubs and restaurants that are popular with locals.
I provide guests with maps and an abundance of tourist information, including my personal recommendations of restaurants, shops, day trips and local events.
This beautiful neighborhood of large estate properties is distinguished by the large native pinon and juniper trees and is home to wildlife and mountain views in all directions.
For optimal access to all that Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico have to offer, it is best to have a car. If you do not have a car, it is possible to combine walking with public transportation, tour companies and taxis.
Be sure to check flight connections directly into the Santa Fe airport (SAF). Rental cars are very reasonable if booked in advance or the shuttle from the Santa Fe airport will bring you directly to my home.
No smoking or pets in home.
Our second visit to Mary Anne's beautiful airbnb and it was just as good as the first. This is truly the best place we have found to stay in Santa Fe. Perfect location on museum hill, easy access to town, lovely views and Mary Anne's warm hospitality! We wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Mary Anne was wonderful! She accommodated us to where we would be staying, showed us around the house and recommended museums, restaurants and hikes we could do around the area. The house and rooms look just as pictured, it is a marvelous home and the view in the backyard is breath taking! We almost didn't want to leave the house because it was so serene and picturesque!
We have found our "home" in Santa Fe. The room and the house are spacious and beautifully decorated, comfortable and welcoming. Mary Anne was the perfect host, full of great suggestions for hiking, eating, music, sites to see... We loved the relaxed, casual interaction with Mary Anne and other guests staying at the house. After just a few days I felt like we were staying at the home of long-time friends, coming and going independently. I enjoyed breakfast on the covered porch with a beautiful view and parade of birds at the feeders. We loved the location on Museum Hill and the convenience to the museums and great cafe there. We walked from the house to Canyon Road through a beautiful neighborhood and then down to the plaza. Santa Fe has a free shuttle bus system that has a stop at the museums that is convenient to the house, but we never did use it. Not only will we schedule future trips to Santa Fe around availability at Mary Anne's house, but we hope she will visit us at our home too.
We loved our stay. Perfect, quiet relaxing atmosphere. Great having your own bathroom, makes it truly feel like it's your own, private lodging. Sitting outside in the morning with the wildlife and eating the granola and fruit provided more than make this place a deal if you are looking for a peaceful retreat. Amazing decor too!
Mary Anne is definitely the hostess with the mostest! The house is on museum hill, great neighborhood. The room has great views of the mountain and the porch with the birds makes a great retreat after a day of sight seeing. Mary Anne has composed a nice booklet with all the necessary information for visitors to Santa Fe. She was super kind and lent us her raincoats, as we were caught unawares in some bad weather. I know I am going back to Santa Fe and hopefully get to stay with Mary Anne!
Mary Anne was a brilliant host. She made us feel right at home upon arrival and had amazing recommendations for what to see and do while in Santa Fe. The house is gorgeous and the view from our room and the deck were wonderful. We ate our breakfast watching hummingbirds and mountain bluebirds winging past as thunderclouds swept in miles away over the mountains. The privacy of this room w/private bath, the open kitchen, the excellent king bed and access to the best of what Santa Fe has to offer "right down the street" make this room at Mary Anne's a "must-stay" if you're in the area. I am confident that we will return and hope for an exact repeat of our wonderful "Room with a View" experience.
Marie Anne's house was delightful as was she. It was all very comfortable, very well situated for the Photography Workshops, the fridge was stocked with breakfast goodies for the guests, the house was spotless and full of lovely rugs and pots from all over the world. Thanks Marie Anne!

About the Host, Mary Anne
I am a long-time resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico who enjoys the great variety of outdoor and cultural activities available here. I am an enthusiastic traveller and love to share experiences and recommendations with others who love to explore. There is so much to love about Santa Fe, and my favorite thing is the four-season climate.
I am a custom home builder and a ski instructor. Between home building, skiing, hiking and gardening, I spend a lot of time outdoors. I do enjoy eating out in Santa Fe and recommending my favorite local restaurants to my guests.
