The space
Overview
The Cottage, dating from the 1970's, was the original house on the property. It has recently been renovated in French Country style, full of charm and romance, while still maintaining much of its original character. Much of the furniture and decor has been sourced from the wonderful antique shops found in Old Town Temecula. It is the perfect space for a romantic weekend for two or an intimate gathering of up to six guests.

Kitchen
The recently remodeled kitchen features all new stainless steel appliances and provides all of the conveniences you'll need during your stay. There is a breakfast table which can also be used as a workspace. The pantry is stocked with basic provisions. Tea and coffee facilities include a Nespresso machine with a selection of pods, a Mr. Coffee and French Press with ground coffee, as well as a selection of teas.

Living & Dining
The open plan living/dining space is bright and airy with panoramic views of the surrounding valley. The dining table accommodates six guests. The living room features a smart tv for all your streaming needs and an electric fireplace for that cozy cottage feel.

Bed & Bath
There are three bedrooms and two baths. The master bedroom and second bedroom have French iron queen beds while the third bedroom has a turn of the century four poster full size bed and there are French doors opening directly onto the covered front porch. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom with antique cast iron claw foot tub. The second bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Amenities
All bed linens, towels and toiletries are provided. Ladies, for your convenience and to save our bath towels from being ruined, we have provided black towels for use when removing makeup. We also provide plush terry robes and slippers!

Outdoor Spaces
Your private outdoor spaces include a covered front porch with day bed and dining table and a large courtyard with propane bbq and fire pit. The views across the valley to the Palomar Mountains are breathtaking. See if you can spot the Observatory! Enjoy your morning coffee to the sight of spectacular sunrises and hot air balloons drifting lazily on the horizon and end your day with a glass of local wine while experiencing some of the most beautiful sunsets you may ever see.

Essentials
The Cottage has WiFi, central heating and air, ceiling fans in two bedrooms, and parking for two vehicles. Neflix is also provided. Please note that due to our remote location WiFi and streaming may be slower than you are used to.

Where you’ll be

Temecula, California, United States

LOCATION
We are in the country, near the end of the Rancho California and De Portola wine trails. Driving time is approximately 10 minutes to the nearest wineries, 20 minutes to the nearest grocery stores and 30 minutes to Old Town and the Casino.

GROCERY STORES
There are several grocery stores along Rancho California Road, including Vons, Aldi, Albertsons and Barons. We suggest stopping to stock up on your way to The Cottage to avoid having to go out again.

CELL SERVICE & INTERNET
Due to the rural nature and geography of the area, cell phone and WiFi service can be patchy or even non-existent. AT&T seems to provide the best cell coverage in the area. We cannot guarantee the speed or availability of internet service and WiFi and streaming may be slower and subject to more fluctuations and outages than you are used to.

INSECTS
Mosquitos, flies and ants and bees can all be seasonal problems in the country. We provide bug spray and insect repellant for your convenience.
