Very nice apartment - very good facilities and decent location. Catalina was very helpful. Would definititely recommend!
The apartment was exactly as shown in pictures, extremely spacious and very comfortable. I had no problems with Catalina, and they were extremely helpful with questions and an extra request I had.
There are supermarkets nearby and 2 Metro stations nearby. It's 15mins walking distance from Piata Unirii 2 and 20mins from Lipscani / Old Town. Very convenient and quiet location as well.
Would recommend to stay!
The apartment was very clean and very beautiful, despite the bad impression of the building which seems to be a bit dilapidated.
We really enjoyed our time in Bucarest and in this apartment
I booked this apartment for 3 days. I was arriving via bus from Bulgaria. Owner told me her mother would arrive in 10 minutes to let me in. Waited fruitlessly. Then another call to say would be there after ½ hour. When she did arrive, I wanted to ask how to use washing machine. Her English was not good enough and she did not seem interested enough to explain so, I decided do my laundry locally.
Her English was good enough however to produce a calendar, point to my departure date 3 days hence, on the 26th, and ask what time I would be departing on the day ? The time stipulated was 11 am. Had no problem with that but found it a very cold welcome
To keep goodwill alive and not have it affect my stay, I phoned her daughter, the owner, after the mother left and informed her of my new Romanian sim and contact number. Told her was a lovely apartment etc and thanked her and her mother.
I got a reply to this text 1.5 days later, after midnight, wishing me well and again asking what time I would be departing on the Saturday ?
Since then, several emails, phone calls asking the same. Check out time is 11 am according to their site page. Surely that is enough for them ??
On my last day, Saturday, her mother arrived at 10:30 am while I was having breakfast. I told her – as per her site page, I would be leaving at 11 am. What kind of behaviour is this from an air bnb host ??!!
Are they trying intimidate people ?
I can give the apartment full marks but the people who own / run it a great big FAIL !
They have no people / business sense.
I would rather sleep rough than rent through this family again. Buyer beware !
A nice and cozy apartment, very close to the hearth of the city. The place was exactly as described. We really enjoyed our stay here, and we highly recommend it :)
We spent three days in Catalina's apartment in July. Communication with her was always prompt and directions to her place were accurate as was the description of the place.
The kitchen seemed adequately equipped but we didn't cook there so it's hard to say.
The location is ideal, as it's around a 20 mins walk to the metro at Piatsa Unirii, from where you have contact to most places in Bucharest. Walking to the Old City is only slightly further as is Park Cismigiu- well worth a visit to escape the hustle and bustle of Bucharest.
We were met on arrival by Catalina's mother, who only has a few words of English but it was sufficient to explain the basics. If we had questions during our stay we simply contacted Catalinas but this was never necessary as everything ran smoothly.
Wi-fi also functioned perfectly the whole time we were there, not that we were trying to stream anything.
We would certainly stay there again if we needed to be in that part of Bucharest.
