Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Stay in a historic hotel room upstairs from the 6th oldest bar in Colorado! Access to free natural hot springs and a 30 minute drive to Telluride through the beautiful San Juan mountains make this an easy choice to have a cozy and affordable place to stay.

The space
This simple, rustic room has big, bright windows overlooking the main street of Rico: one of Colorado's last hidden gems. Your private king bedroom has great views of Dolores Mountain and comes with a queen sleeper sofa in the second bedroom for additional guests or just warming up in front of the electric fireplace. This double room is our most spacious accommodation and has a shared bathroom at the end of the hall.
If you are traveling with a group you may inquire about adding more rooms to your reservation request. Please note, we have 3 other rooms, one of which is housing a local resident. You will have to share the kitchen and the bathroom with him and follow Covid guidelines.

Rico, Colorado, United States

Rico is small and quiet, but a self-guided walk around town would show that our quaint little town is dotted with historic buildings and access to endless outdoor activities.
Less than a five minute drive will get you to the free natural hot springs on the beautiful Dolores river. We have trails for hiking, biking, fishing, motorcycling, 4 wheeling, etc, as well as quick access to Trout Lake and McPhee Reservoir for paddle boarding and general relaxing!
We are right between Dolores and Telluride on the scenic Highway 145, known as the San Juan Skyway, which will also take you to Ouray, Silverton, and Durango.

During your stay
If I am at the bar, I'd love to meet you and share some local knowledge! If I'm not, one of our friendly bartenders will gladly share with you what Rico is all about. If you're looking for the local scoop on anything outdoors, this is the place to stay! Great food and free pool make the downstairs bar and restaurant a regular hang out for the town.
