My week at Marsha's was awesome! It truly was a home away from home. It was sad to leave since so much was learned, experienced and shared while I was there. I'm in so much gratitude for Marsha's hospitality, openess and spirituality. I enjoyed the time I had with her sharing stories and lessons of life. I had the place to myself (as well as my best friend) and was able to cook, have my own fridge and enjoy Kangen water, what a treat! She provided coffee and a continental breakfast. The feel of the house was comfortable, homey and light. I would definitely go back if and when needed!
The location is close to restaurants, entertainment, parks, the zoo, etc; as well as close to highways for traveling elsewhere.
Marsha is very nice
The house is quite clean
Marsha asked me for my credit card to buy gas for her car (I've never been in her car). I thought this was strange and inappropriate.
A neighbor murdered two other neighbors, and was shot in the face by yet another neighbor during the last week of my stay. One body was found in the street (4 houses away from Marsha's). I moved out and notified Airbnb. I was not refunded for the days I didn't stay, but I left because I did not feel safe in the house. No one in Tampa (except Marsha) thinks this is a safe neighborhood, especially for a woman traveling alone. I also saw drug deals on the (residential!) street. Book with caution.
The minute you step into Marsha's lovely home you feel like you never want to leave. The room is perfect and can't possible be any cleaner and more comfortable. Weary travelers will love it here. The area is great and there are many places to eat and discover. Also there is a laundromat right down the block.
If you are lucky enough to share a cup of coffee or homemade smoothie with Marsha you are truly blessed as she is the most wonderful woman you will ever meet (and I'm not exaggerating :)
We had a great time staying at Marsha's place in Tampa! Marsha is lovely, very warm, welcoming and helpful. There were plenty of breakfast options, more than enough towels and linens, and plenty of kitchen supplies for making meals. The shower was very nice with great water pressure! The house was cozy, comfortable, and close to major highways. No one else was staying at the time so we had the whole house to ourselves! We felt right at home. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Tampa.
This was my second time staying here. Very nice. Comfortable and clean. Very convenient. I could not ask for more. I will be staying here again when I go back to Tampa for my next class as well.
I was in Tampa to take the Florida bar exam and needed a quiet place to study and unwind. Very warm and kind, Marsha was an excellent hostess who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and be sure that I had everything I needed. She puts a lot of effort into making her home a comfortable place to stay, and she has put a lot of thought into preparing for guests. I would say she has thought of virtually everything that could be expected, including things like bathrobes and an iron and ironing board set up for guest use. And you absolutely cannot beat the price. If I'm ever in Tampa again, I will definitely stay with Marsha.
Marsha is a wonderful person and helpful with everything. The room has a good location, very close to the university. Good and healthy breakfasts as well!
We just got back from staying with Marsha for 3 days while attending a tango festival at USF which was literally 5 minutes drive. We did arrive pretty late on Friday night, but Marsha staying up to give us directions and let ue know how to get in. We chatted for almost an hour as she is so easy to be with and has a delightful personality. We were the only ones there so hat a large pretty good sized living room and kitchen plus the bathroom to ourselves. The bed is of course only double as the room couldn't accommodate anything larger, so being used to a king it was a bit tight. It was exceptionally clean and the swan and elephant towels were a gorgeous touch. You can tell she has been in the business for awhile. She provided a variety of healthy breakfast options. Just a really nice experience for the first AirBNB try out.
It was my first trip to a different speaking country, so I wanted to stay in a private accommodation. I wanted as much as possible to learn to speak English.
Marsha was a special, lovely and great host. Marsha has practiced with me talking and learning in different ways, thank you Marsha. It was a great experience to visit a musical and the University. Marsha is not to be outdone in helpfulness. She had breakfast items available, and did everything to make my stay pleasant. She puts much time into making the accommodations pleasant.
If you need a room in Tampa then Marsha is the first choice. I don’t know how close it was to Busch Gardens, the university, museums, cinema and markets of all kinds within minutes.
