Atelier d'artiste with a private outdoor in a courtyard garden. In the 10th arr. of Paris, next to the Canal st Martin. Ideal for couples - with interesting features : fully equipped kitchen, a retro bath, the raised bed area access with a ladder, very high ceiling, windows view on bamboo three, private outdoor garden in one of the rare courtyard in Paris.
All These are all great feature who makes this place unique.

Une petite enclave de calme absolu en plein Paris, un vrai bonheur.
De la verdure, une ambiance chaleureuse, de la bonne lecture.
nice loft with a beautiful patio.
it was easy to make good appointments with valerie.
see made us feel really welcome. we where arriving in the evening and see already fixed us some drinks and food for the next morning.
The loft offers a very unique experience in Paris. It's hard to describe the peace and security of the place. It's inside a courtyard area of a really interesting group of buildings. There are all locals living there, children playing during the day... if I myself lived in Paris, I would feel very fortunate to have Valerie's situation.
If you want to experience Paris more like a Parisian would, this would be a great area to do so. Right next to the Canal St. Martin, and adjacent to a large Indian area, you can walk or take the train conveniently to many tucked away parts of Paris that I'm sure most visitors don't see unless they are staying with friends or have a second home there.
The loft itself is very reminiscent of an artist's loft that you would find in Brooklyn. Art books, literature, and just a nice, bohemian but comfortable setup. If you have an concerns climbing a high ladder to get up to the bed then this wouldn't be the place for you, but we enjoyed it very much and I think it adds a lot to the unique feel of the space.
The apartment feels very spacious because of the layout and the very high ceilings, as well as the large windows that look out onto the greenery of the courtyard and her front porch. The bathroom is quite spacious, which I liked, and the deep, free-standing tub is a treat.
There is an organic market just down the street, and there are good bistros all around. Le Bulle, less than a five minute walk, is excellent, and there are also many excellent Asian and Middle-Eastern restaurants to choose from. Valerie offers a little list of suggestions with the airbnb booking which is also very helpful.
Valerie was an attentive and warm host, and we always felt taken care off. There is a land line in the apartment, too, which is always convenient to have.
If I was to offer anything critical, I think it would just be to know what kind of experience you are signing up for. This is the 10th arrondisement, not downtown Paris, but that's exactly what we were looking for, so we didn't have any complaints.
Valerie was a great host. Her apartment is like those inspiring Manhattan lofts but set on the ground floor amidst a beautiful courtyard with all the romanticism of Paris.
I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it!
Apartement au top ! Cadre unique, alliant espace, chaleur et liberté. Je recommande à tout prix, idéal pour couple ou personne venant seule à Paris.
After a secure two access gates, there is a very pretty terrace partly covered by a glass roof and surrounded by few trees (very pretty light in the evening). The loft is very clean and have a amazing industrial style with a large bay window. Close to the subway, let yourself be guided by the advice of Valerie about restaurants and bars. Is suitable for tourism or business travel.
ohhh I have no words to say... only emotions!!! I stayed at the magic loft for a month and each day I enjoyed! I love everything about this place and Valerie (the host) is an amazing person! I really hope that some day I will return to this magic place) Lucky you if you will have the chance to stay there!!! I will be also waiting for you to share your feedbacks !!!
I really enjoyed staying at this lovely and beautiful apartment! Good location, not too noisy, not too hot although it was late July.
We arrived at Valerie's place, and it was a big, big disappointment! We tried to call Valerie on her phone for one hour and she was not reachable, so we decided to go to a hotel because we did not want to stay in this apartment. We made pictures from all the negative points, and we tried to explain Valerie that this was absolutely unacceptable.
Here all the negative points, who made it impossible to stay.
1. It was a very bad smell of old milk in the apartment.
2. Under the office table was stuff stocked, we could not use it.
3. The sofa was covered with a old blanked not at all like on the picture.
4. All electrical switches where covered with sticky tape, we could not make light.
5. The fridge had old stuff in it.
6. We could not go up to the bed, there was a message not to move the ladder, so it was impossible to use.
We don't recommend Valerie's place, in specially for this price you can find a lot better and more central apartment like at La place de la Republique or place de la Bastille a apartment.
After using AIRBNB a lot of times, this was the first time I was completely disappointed because the venue is 75% less cool then the pictures on the AIRBNB page...!
A tranquil garden eden just a few steps from the Canal with all its nice little bars and cafés. Very cool studio, fell in love immediately. Meet you next time, Valerie, thanks for coffee, tea and petit beurres! ;-)
